Team Charter

Broad Goals
1. Communicate our definition efficiently and effectively through various examples.
2. Work together cohesively and account for each other's actions.

Measurable Goals
1. Find 6-8 peer-reviewed sources for our definition; at least 1-2 sources for each person
2. Each of us should find one illustration to use for the definition
3. Have a rough draft ready between the 12-14th of February
4. Be ready to submit our definition complete by the 20th of February
5. Meet at least once out of class to discuss and actively work on the definition
6. Make concise agreements about the content we will choose to include in our definition

Personal Goals & Commitments

● Olivia: To learn about postmodernism and get the best grade we possibly can.
● Emilie: To be seen as very helpful by my team.
● Connor: To acquire a deep understanding of postmodernism within different mediums.
● Elaine: To contribute positively to the team and make sure we are all on track to meet our
collective goals.

Individual Commitments
● Olivia will work on the introduction and overview portion of the Definition paper.
● Emilie will work on the artistic use of postmodernism.
● Connor will work on the literary use of postmodernism.
● Elaine will work on writing the history of postmodernism.

Other Concerns
● The definition might be too wide ranging but so long as we can all agree to specific topics we
should do fine.

Conflict Resolution
The problem will be made aware to the whole team. Solutions will be put in front of the
team and a vote will be had in order to see which solution is the solution that will be enacted. If
no vote can be made within a day, we will coordinate with the instructor for further guidance.

Missed Deadlines
If a person knows they are going to miss a deadline , they must let the team know as soon
as possible, preferably 24 to 48 hours, to give the team time to make up for the lost work; if
applicable, they will give all the work they have already done to the team. Then, it’s up to the
rest of the team to decide who has the time to finish the work. If the person has done a majority
of the work but just cannot finish, they will get no repercussions. However, if half or more of the
work needs to be done the team will decide a further course of action, such as instructor
intervention or team discussion about expectations for following deadlines.
Unacceptable Work
Work that has a significant amount of spelling and grammatical errors is considered
unacceptable. Since the project requires 4 to 5 pages and there is 4 in our team, everyone should
contribute a page worth of work at minimum. Anything less than that would be seen as
unacceptable work. Failure to notify the team of a missed deadline is also considered
unacceptable as it impacts the workflow.

Work Schedule
1) Have our sources and a rough outline by the 9th.
a) Let’s review what is written for postmodernism in an encyclopedia and create an outline on what
we want to focus on (by the 3rd or 5th)
b) Form an outline on what each person will be focusing on, what sources we might be interested in
getting (by the 5th); also, an illustration source idea!
c) Check up on each other on about our sources by the 7th.
d) Aggregate everything we have by the 10th.

2) A rough draft should be mostly completed by the 17th so that the group can review it in class that day
and make any corrections before the draft is due on the 19th.
a) Let's aim to have the final draft fixed and done by the 21st for one last review before the deadline.
