Saafa
- a traditional turban that is worn by Indian men to
weddings, a saafa is essentially a long piece of cloth.
Sometimes, the groom's saafa also includes
an ornament.

GET CREATIVE Odhni


- a long scarf worn over the head by
women, an odhni (also called chunar)
is traditional Rajasthani attire that is usually made of
lightweight fabric, and acts as a very short veil.

Kurta
- a shirt that reaches
the knees, a kurta is
often paired with REPURPOSE
cotton pants, and
is worn by boys
and men.
Gudiya
- dolls have always served as precious companions to little children,
often just for them to play make-believe with, and sometimes to
serve as a comforting presence when they're lonely or sad. They can
be made of clay, wood, plastic, or even cloth, like the doll Rupa Ram
makes for his daughter!

UPCYCLE
Gulaab
- known world over for being a symbol of beauty and romance,
the rose is meant to represent promise, hope and new beginnings.
It is also used for decorative and ornamental purposes in houses
(the way Rupa Ram and his family use their gulaab), at weddings,
and sometimes even in places of worship.
