The canned motor pump cost savings are in addition to other significant benefits such as lower vibration and
lower noise values. Also, because reliability is increased, pump integrity is much higher as the Shinhoo pump
incorporates a design that capitalizes on the benefits of a double-containment design.

The ANSI Pump package is a smaller and lighter unit with a lower casing pressure and temperature
threshold. This is a more economical pump that is very well suited to the Chemical Market. The seal
chambers allow installation of much heavier designs of Mechanical Seals so that these pumps now have
the ability to rival API 682 designs for dependability and durability. Another advantage is the
standardized parts and expanded material of construction. This leads to less expensive parts at lower
cost and better delivery. The ANSI Envelope is a standard for the Chemical Process Industry and so any
replacement must fit into this envelope dimensionally when considering flange and foot mounting of
the casings.

Based on this analysis, and the aggressively low pricing offered by ProFlow Solutions, Inc., it is hard to ignore the
canned motor pump. This is especially true when you consider all the options available, including high- and low-
temperature designs, and designs for light hydrocarbons and bubble-point fluids.
Shinhoo also has a design to handle temperatures in excess of 700 degrees F without cooling the motor.
Modifications can be included that allow pumping of slurries as well. By including the Lancer Systems, CeraComp
bearings, the pumps have demonstrated the ability to run dry, intermittently, without damage to the bearings or
journals. Designs to ANSI wet-end dimensions are available so that replacing a problem pump with a Canned Motor
Pump can be a cost-effective solution. Bring us your “Bad Actors.” We will save you headaches and hard cash.
