2.0 WATER TREATMENT PLANT

A
Water Treatment Plant as Dayliff WP 250. The treatment
provided should include flocculation, sedimentation,
chlorination and filtration process.The treatment plant to be
complete with 2 No. Grundfos CH 2-30 filter pumps, 2 No.
chlorine & alum dosage equipment CX 500, intergrale
balance tank, 2 No. WP filters all mounted on a base frame.

The treatment plant should have the following features;

High efficiency sedimentation basin

Automatic chemical dosage of alum and chlorine

High quality filter pumps

Double filtration through two series of pressure sand filters

Fully intergrated unit with fully automatic operation NO 1

B Allow for construction of a concrete plinth base for the water

treatment plant, size 5400mm x 3400mm. sum

WATER BOOSTER PUMP ANT TANK

C 10,000 litre polyethylene tank on concrete plinth adjascent to

the water treantment plant for holding clean water. The tank
should be complete with screwed inlet, outlet, overflow
connections and high pressure peglar ball valve. The tank to
be as Kentank CCV 1000, diameter 2360mm, height
2660mm.

D Allow for construction of a concrete plinth base for the water

and pump, size 5000mm x 5000mm. SUM

E Domestic water pump set (duty and standby) complete with

the following:-

Duplicate automatic electric motor driven pump, capacity

4m3/hr against a total head of 70m. As Grundfos CR10 - 9 or
approved equivalent, complete with mounting base frame and
control panel for controls and power cables interconnecting
the pump controls to low level and high level electrodes in
the ground level and high level tanks as follows;
-Automatic electric control panel as per specification

for above pumps complete with autocycle changeover switch

- Electrode for stopping above pumps should the level in of

-100 mm dial pressure gauge (0-10 bar)
-100 litres air pressure vessel of the diaphragm type
similar to that manufactured by 'Davey'
or equal and approved and to be installed in series NO 1

F Allow for electrical connection from isolator to control panel

and from control panel to electric motors includding all the
necessary cabling and conduiting. NO 1

G 3,500 litre polyethylene tank elevated or installed in roof at

the laundry building. The tank should be complete with
screwed inlet, outlet, overflow connections and high pressure
peglar ball valve. The tank to be as Kentank CCV 350,
diameter 1650mm, height 1870mm. NO 1

PIPE WORK AND ACCESSORIES (PROVISIONAL)

Supply and install 50mm diameter rising main galvanised mild

steel pipes class ‘C’ complying to BS 1387 with screwed and
socket joints to BS 143 and 1256 and of approved
manufacturer with galvanised to BS 729. Tenders must allow
in their pipework prices for all the couplings, unions,
connectors, joints, reducers etc as required in running lengths
of pipework and also where necessary for pipe fixing clips
holder bats plugged and screwed. LM 600
