* PAST FORM OF THE VERB TO BE (SER / ESTAR)

(+) Affirmative Sentences:

I was in the park yesterday morning. You were in the park yesterday morning.
She was in the park yesterday morning. We were in the park yesterday morning.
He was in the park yesterday morning. They were in the park yesterday morning.
It was in the park yesterday morning.

*Cuando escribimos oraciones afirmativas debemos tener en cuenta los pronombres personales que funcionan como sujeto. Si éstos son:
I, She, He, It, les corresponde el verbo To Be WAS. Y si tenemos los pronombres: You, We, They, les corresponde el verbo To Be
WERE.

(-) Negative Sentences:

I wasn’t in the park yesterday morning. You weren’t in the park yesterday morning.
She wasn’t in the park yesterday morning. We weren’t in the park yesterday morning.
He wasn’t in the park yesterday morning. They weren’t in the park yesterday morning.
It wasn’t in the park yesterday morning.

*Cuando escribimos oraciones negativas debemos utilizar el verbo To Be negado. En el caso de que los pronombres sean: I, She, He, It,
les corresponde el To Be WASN´T. I si tenemos los pronombres: You, We, They, les corresponde el verbo To Be WEREN´T.

(?) Interrogative Sentences:

Was I in the park yesterday morning? Were you in the park yesterday morning?
Was she in the park yesterday morning? Were we in the park yesterday morning?
Was he in the park yesterday morning? Were they in the park yesterday morning?

*Cuando escribimos oraciones interrogativas debemos utilizar el verbo To Be anteponiéndolos al sujeto siguiendo la correspondencia
entre pronombre y verbo ya nombrada.

*Cuando escribimos oraciones afirmativas en pasado simple ya no debemos tener en cuenta los pronombres personales porque todos
comparten la misma forma verbal. Pero en este tiempo encontramos que los verbos se clasifican en regulares e irregulares. Los verbos
regulares son aquellos a los que se les agrega ED al final. Los verbos irreguales, por el contrario, cambian su forma o mantienen la
misma del infinitivo. (Observar cuadro superior y lista.)

(-) Negative Sentences:

*Cuando escribimos oraciones negativas en pasado simple debemos utilizar el auxiliar DIDN´T para toads las personas.
*En las oraciones negativas se escribe el verbo como en presente después del auxiliar.

BIOGRAPHY

Michael Abernathy was born in West Monroe, Louisiana and moved to Mississippi when he was five years-
old. Michael played sports but struggled with weight throughout his life. While completing his degree in
Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi, Michael began researching weight loss
dieting and began working out in the gym. Michael completed his first degree in 2011 and in the process lost
85 pounds.

After college, Michael began working at an ophthalmologist clinic in Hattiesburg, Mississippi where he
quickly learned the relationship between diet and chronic illnesses that affect the eyes. During his two years
in this field, Michael’s interest in nutrition developed into a passion. In 2014, he decided to pursue his
passion for nutrition and become a registered dietitian in order to help people accomplish their personal
weight loss goals as he had.

Michael finished his degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2016 and is
excited to continue on his path to becoming a registered dietitian. In his spare time, Michael enjoys
spending time with his new wife, playing guitar, working out, and playing video games.
