Topic: The Relational and Spiritual Self

As a Gen Z, do you agree that Filipino youth today is apathetic, uncritical and social
media dependent? Explain your answer.

We live in the age when many of us are more technologically incline through
social media. We agreed that Filipino youth are sort of apathetic when it comes to
social political issues because we do not discuss politics in our own opinion but
some of the youth concern and talk about the issues in the government. By this kind
of issue it may also uncritical because we do not have the time to critically evaluate
the information they read that can lead fake news and mislead reports being shared
in social media. Youth are dependent in social media, we agreed because many of
us have a social media that we do not need to watch on the television instead we
tend to see the news in the internet and it is easy for us to know what is happening in
our society and we need to try to look on the sources that are legit. Even those home
works that the teacher given to their students, instead of using their minds to
understand the problem they will try to look the answer in the internet. Gen Z could
not live without social media.
