What is an “app”?

The word "app" is an abbreviation for "application." It's a piece of software that you
can use on a smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices, including smart TVs
and smartwatches. Apps may or may not have a connection to the internet.

Apps are basically to make life and daily tasks easier and foster communication and
learning process of people, hopefully in a simple, more user-friendly way. They have
different functions and aspects depending on the audience they are directed to
