DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
1. What are your preferred methods of receiving information? Does your answer differ
depending on the type of information being sent?

My preferred method in receiving information is verbal communication because in verbal

communication, the feedback is instant. It can lead to much engaging transfer of ideas and also helps
the receiver if the message is accurate or not. More over, receiving information in verbal
communication is quite faster than other type of communication because it has been used for
centuries now and has been practiced so long.

2. What are the implications of organizational diversity on the communication media the company
should use?

The implications of organizational diversity of the communication media should be formal in nature
because it leads the receiver or the listener to a wide perspective. I believe that no matter how diverse
our community in language, there should be interdependent language that will be used that can reach
all the people in a community.

3. What are some of the most common sources of noise when others try to talk to you? What can
you do to reduce their effects?

Some of the common sources of noise are usually thee surroundings and people who are talking
everywhere. In order to reduce its effect to me as an individual, I tend to find a quiet place every time
I will talk to someone because it is one of the main reason why people are misunderstand an idea or a
message – it’s vague.
