CALCULATIONS

As according to BS 6399-3:1988, the calculation are choose to be minimum imposed load on

roof with no access which refers to a uniformly distributed load of 0.6 kN/m2 measured on plan
for roof slopes of 30° or less; or a uniformly distributed load of 0.6 [(60 –α)/30] kN/m2
measured on plan for roof slopes (α) greater than 30° and less than 60°;or zero load for roof
slopes equal to or greater than 60°.
Therefore,
Length = 1167 mm
Height = 4000 mm
Use,
0.6 × 4000 mm = 2400 mm → 2.4 kN/m → 0.0024 kN/mm
The load distributed on the trusses was 0.0024 kN/mm
