ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAYS
Karolay Ibarra
At present, society tends more to develop "the soldier mentality, that is they base their
judgments according to their beliefs, although the result is not seen very pleasant. Hence, in
decision-making, "injustices" are evident only because of their reasoning motivated by
what they believe. The other side appears the "scout mentality" which society must learn to
develop, stop believing and reaffirm their beliefs and aim for justice, although the results of
the trial are not pleasant in our eyes. By making decisions the judgment is strongly
influenced, unconsciously, on which side it wants to win and it determines the way it is the
world seen.
There are people who always want to be right, these people are obsessed with being in
control of situations. Anything out of their rules and routine makes them uncomfortable, so
they are not comfortable with new situations and changes.
On the other hand, there are people with more docile mentalities capable of being self-
critical and arguing their own criteria and view the results from various points of view,
without fear of error and the most important thing is to accept the concepts of others. And
according to this they display curiosity and go in search of the truth beyond the fact that
reality can be opposed to their convictions. They are genuinely humble people and their
self-esteem is not linked to whether or not they are right on certain issues.
Circumstantially the human being must be subjected to different situations that require
their analytical and interpretative capacity to opt for a reason of that same capacity. This is
how the variability of thoughts and reasoning that can be a crucifixion or support for an
argument or situation is born.
defends in his own way. As a result of it arises a conflict, whose end is a path without
solution or where some of those involved ends up losing, even when their innocence is
proven, but as a result of the rational confinement of the other party must be in payer of
partial consequences or totals.

Our mind is susceptible to many external factors. We see the same things, sounds are Heard
the same, and in concordance with our senses, we experience the same stimuli but based on
those inputs, each of us shapes our version of reality
As Hank Green said, “We may live in the same reality, but all of us experience differently”.
This statement leads to the belief that the way we see our context has a big load of our
expectations, moods, beliefs, etc. Maybe, some individuals are so clung on to the things
they stand for that their position is the concept that defines them and their moral code,
respected, but could be something that does not let them see beyond the fact that some
people do not see the world from the same perspective. That would mean being a false or
true reality? Well, that’s where being objective or subjective comes into play.
What’s intangible is hard to be explained. Reality and belief can adopt as many concepts as
It is wanted, Objectiveness is so wide and general that it is impossible to start from an
assumption that We share the same reality. You could be living in an objective reality, but
how does another look at it?. There is the main variable in all of this, and It’s called
“Difference”. If the concept of “Equal” were a whole, there won’t be extremes in the things
We have established so far. All might be admissible, respected but never imposed.
Opinions, ideas, points of view are so assorted like candies in a glass container. The way
We react to them is what differs one person to others and makes them unique but the
distinction created establishes a parallel between what’s believed and determines our
paradigms.

From a distinctive point of view, versions of realities and infinite possibilities exist when it
refers to belief. So, if you don’t understand why a person does not believe in the same
things you do, nor act the same manner, “try to get on the same page” or like the old saying
says “Put yourself on the other person’s shoes”. At least, that could help you to question:
How does that person see the world? How does his/her reality look like? and that way you
could approach to a reality you might know and surpass some limits that your belief has set.
Does your reality differ from other’s and do you really know if your beliefs are your
barriers?... Find it out. Only you have the answer.
In today's world, knowledge is a primary factor, but to affirm that you are always right is
not the most praiseworthy thing when you discuss your point of view with someone, give
yourself the benefit of the doubt, stop for a second and reflect because It is very possible
that you are not always right.
Eleanor Roosevelt said, "No one can make you feel inferior if you don't allow it." This
statement puts the focus of attention on ourselves and not on others; therefore, perhaps the
only thought that needs to be changed is the belief that "others should think differently."
From this premise, we will try to answer the question posed previously; Most of us believe
that we can change what others think, believing that they are right is perhaps one of the
greatest problems that humanity suffers today.
When a belief dominates us, we come to think that everyone thinks, or should think, the
same. However, there are different opinions among human beings. The different
perspectives should not be a point of controversy but of particular preferences. Accepting
the ideas of others does not mean that ours are wrong, much less agree. on the contrary, this
means that we do not possess the absolute truth. remember that there is something called

Listening with interest to people, even if what they say is against their own opinion, is the
maximum test of empathy, respect, and acceptance
Yoany Vargas
It is common to find positions that defend illogical and incoherent theses from their
own perspective. To think that we are correct when this is not the case is due to each
person's perspective regarding a situation. In this way, the objective and subjective of a
value judgment comes into question.
According to Lacan, in his psychoanalytic theory, the real is that absolute truth and reality
is the way in which each individual comes to perceive that truth according to its context. In
this way, it can be said that, we come to think that we are right because from our
perspective and context it is determined that this is the truth even when it is not so, because
from another perspective, you can see the truth in a way different. Therefore, it is inferred
that the real is impossible to perceive objectively, since each individual can only see their
reality.
Niels Bohr supports Lacan by mentioning that "The opposite of a profound truth can
also be a profound truth" and clarifies the concept of objectivity mentioned as a set of
subjectivities, the latter being an assessment influenced by one's own conceptions.
mentions about objectivity and likewise, reality with subjectivity. In this sense, it can be
said that there are no unfair positions, if not different truths
Angie Quiroz
There are different ways of seeing the world, each one sees it from their perspective
and the perspective is subjective. Anything that someone believes is considered true in their
own mind. everyone believes they think impartially, when they clearly want to win every
moral war, and their judgment is manipulated by unconscious motivations, desires, and
fears that shape what we interpret. This is called “motivated reasoning”, that makes you
have an illusory objectivity, depriving you of seeing the world from all possible angles and
finding the truth.
Why do people think they are right when they are clearly wrong? Well, the answer to this
question could bring world peace. Emotions give "color" to how "facts" are perceived. The
intention of reaching personal conclusions has the possibility of leading you to an error of
reasoning, while the intention of being exact, thorough and precise, improves the rational
process.
Being rational is easier when there is a distance between opinion and feelings and you
avoid a restriction of reality, having tried your blind belief will be more satisfying than
gaining reasoning, you start to be more neutral and you are more interested in questioning
everything that once you took for granted, you would have your own conviction of what
you see and you would not have any trouble seeing the world through the eyes of others.
