It is indisputable that English has become the global language of communication par
excellence and the most widely used in the world, for this reason learning foreign
languages is an inescapable need for human beings, since the level of development
reached by the societies of the world. third millennium product of its economic and
cultural integration requires mastery of them.
The objective of this study is to identify the difficulties that sixth grade students of
the American Gymnasium of the Atlantic have, in terms of the acquisition of a new
foreign language (English), and how the socioeconomic environment influences
students to present obstacles to mastering the skills required by this language in
your learning process.
