Sample Conditioning System (SCS)

The sample transport line (installed by others) must be vented to


the atmospheric vent header through the bypass flowmeter to
avoid pressure surges.

All valves, regulators, switches, etc. should be operated in


accordance with site lock-out/tag-out procedures.

1. Close the sample supply shut-off valve. Refer to Figure 3–4.

2. Allow the sample to flow until all residual gas has dissipated from the
lines as indicated by no flow on the sample and sample bypass
flowmeters.
3. Turn off power to the analyzer or begin maintenance procedure.

If the system will not be out of service for an extended period, it


is advised that power remain applied to the sample transport line
electric tracer, if applicable.
