CONTENT
INTRODUCTION
The project was regarding a visit to the village and know about the economic
indicators of the village. As per project we visited the village DHAKANSU and
collected the information regarding the project from the Sarpanch MR. AMAN. On
the basis of the information provided we have prepared the project report.

DESCRIPTION:-
As we can see in the pie chart the village Dhakansu is visible as a single line
out of total population of India.
So we can know that it covers a very less of the total population of India.
2. AGE STRUCTURE
DESCRIPTION:-
As seen from the table and chart we can analyze and intrepret that in village
Dhakanshu in highest population is of age group 27-36 that can be classified
as working class people. And the least is of age group 51 and above. Also the
children population is 300, age group 0-14.

DESCRIPTION:-
As we can see there are equal number of males and females in the village. The
sex ratio comes out to be 100.
4. LITERACY RATE
DESCRIPTION:-
Literacy rate has been distributed as per education level. As per the population
of village there were 80% literacy rate with most population literate as highest
level of education. We just took an estimate of population literate as per
education level through age structure. Assuming that population of 240 is
literate only with primary education considering the data of age group 0-14
mainly and in illiterate considering the children below 5 years and people

DESCRIPTION:-
In Dhakansu overall employment rate is 70%, which means that 30% are
unemployed among which major part is of the women. There is same level of
employment in agriculture and service sector and 20% are self -employed
having their own shop of groceries, stationery, dairy etc. Around 50% of
population has migrated to foreign in search of job so the major income is also
received from the members working in foreign.
6. POVERTY RATE
Poverty line is the level of income to meet the minimum living conditions. It is the
amount of money needed for the person to meet his basic needs. It is defined as
money value of goods and services needed to provide basic welfare to an individual.
DESCRIPTION:-
In Dhakansu 25% of the population lives below the poverty line i.e. around 459
people which is among the population of unemployed rate. As an estimate we have
classified the 75% of population as mediocre (lower) and mediocre (upper). Dhakansu
has a part in India 21.9% of population which is below poverty line. Main reasons of
poverty can be unemployment and migiration of people to foreign by taking huge
amount of loan.

meals prepared together and benefiting from housekeeping shared in common.

CONCLUSION
The survey of Dhakansu village took us out from theoretical study and showed
a reality about economic indicators. Through the information provided by the
Sarpanch of the village we analyzed and compared the data with overall India
data. The information is then presented in form of tables and charts and
interpreted. We got to learn about various economic indicator. We got a reality
check about the situation of the village which includes the number of villager,
their primary source of income, education level, banking facilities and health
care facilities . The survey covers all the information about the respective
village.
