Executive Summary
• Digitization of the Karnataka Samskrit University Library.

• The books which have already been scanned by DLI (Digital Library of India) will

not be scanned again unless the scan quality is poor and the downloaded PDF are

unreadable.

• Many images of the scanned books are of low quality and those books will be re-

scanned at 300 DPI standard archival resolution.

• Digitization is a slow and mechanical process and becomes slower for libraries that

have old, brittle and tattered books. Not damaging the original in any way and not

re-scanning which has already been scanned will be the top priority.

• The kind support and patronage of the Govt. of Karnataka to make Universal

knowledge accessible to all the faculty and students of the Karnataka Samskrit

University and the general public is needed

• Ganaka Ashtadhyayi – H. H. Dr. Shivamurthy
Shivacharaya Swamiji, Siregere – 1994
• Amarakosha – Sanskrit Dictionary – Dr. V. Jagadish, IIT,
Kanpur, 1990
• The Bhagavadgita As It Is - Divine Grace A.C.
Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada’s original authorized
