MEMORANDUM

FOR :

SUBJECT : EMERGENCY INSTALLATION OF PLASTIC BARRIER FOR

FRONT LINE COUNTERS

DATE : May 22, 2020

REQUEST:

 The approval of emergency purchase and installation of acrylic panels for

frontline counters.

JUSTIFICATION:

 The panel in the NAC, EA and Document Examiner counters will serve as
protective barrier from exposure to corona virus since the above-mentioned
employees directly interact and engage walk in clients,
 This is to supplement with the other safety procedures and existing health
protocols being observed by the branch considering that there are covid
cases that are asymptomatic and/or at the early stage of the disease which
may not be detected by mere forehead thermometer,
 At a minimal cost difference, the panel will preserve and maintain the bank’s
corporate image compared to ordinary cellophane susceptible to tearing. The
estimated cost of the installation of acrylic panel is at P 35,220.00.
 A panel made of acrylic is more durable and can withstand more than
ordinary wear and tear.
 This is also in compliance to EO No. 50 Series 2020 on Workplace Security and
Safety.
