Background

Ameerpet (ward no: 98) is a residential hub located to the north-
west of Hyderabad, Telangana. Ameerpet is also a Mandal
in Hyderabad District. The locality shares its borders with Sardar
Patel Road and the National Highway 65. Though basically
consisting of vacant plots till a few years back, the area is now
bustling with a number of commercial and residential
establishments.
Popular areas located close to Ameerpet include Panjagutta, Banjara
Hills, Begumpet, Sanath Nagar and Somajiguda. The Hyderabad
metro has Ameerpet metro station as a changeover station between
Lines 1 and 3. The closest MMTS Train station is at the Nature cure
hospital.
Landmarks include Nizamia observatory, Saradhi Studios, HUDA
Maitrivanam, Huda Swarna Jayanti Complex, Aditya Enclave,
Aditya Trade centre, Satyam Cinema Theatre, Ameerpet
Gurudwara, Masjid-E-Akhtarunissa Begum ,Vcare Multi Specialty
Hospital, Elephant House, and Training and Consulting Services.
Until the early 90s, the area mostly consisted of vacant plots,
Jagirdar lands, Nawabs Houses, Estates and roadside restaurants to
serve the traffic along NH9 to Bombay. Commercial activity first
shifted here from the centre of the city in the 1990s with the
expansion of the northern suburbs of Hyderabad due to ongoing
construction activity in the area and its surrounding areas. Today it
is a bustling locality with several commercial establishments along
with high pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Ameerpet is also famous
for religious places, Shopping Hub, Educational Institutions.
Ameerpet is known for commerce and business of all kinds, but
mainly known as an education hub of Hyderabad city. It has
several retail stores and many educational institutions like PAGE,
TIME, etc. – handholding agencies for students to get admission
into eminent institutes for pursuing their higher studies.
Ameerpet is also a well-known destination for software trainings in
India. Students from different parts of the country come here to join
software training courses. They avail of quality software trainings
at relatively low prices. Hence you see an enormous floating
population. As a result, Ameerpet is gaining a worldwide
reputation. People from neighbouring states also come here to get
trained in various kinds of software and banking technologies. Not

 advance computing and also often host recruitment proceedings here.
