To whom it may concern,

I am very happy to write a recommendation letter for Ketia Francois for the
French position. She is a very capable and caring person. I have known Ketia for
over 10 years. I met her through our local French club. I teach French in high
school, so we have often gotten together to speak French.
Ketia has just finished a master’s degree in secondary education with
French as the content area. She student taught In French at Mandan High School
where she had to transition from a traditional classroom to distance learning. In
addition to her student teaching she has had a variety of experience in the
classroom. She has been a sub for the last four years in both Bismarck and
Mandan public schools. She can teach any levels of French, Spanish and Latin. She
was a long-term sub in Latin for one of the high school teachers that was on
maternity leave. She has also home schooled her daughter in Spanish.
Ketia has been in my classroom on numerous occasions. At times she has
done some lessons. She is always well prepared and very thorough. The students
have responded well to her in the classroom. They always enjoyed her lessons. It
was obvious that she had an excellent rapport with the students. Afterwards she
always had several questions prepared for me. We had discussions about
assessments, successful strategies and student engagement to name a few.
Ketia is not afraid to take on new challenges. She is very confident and has
endless energy. She finished her classes with a 4.0 GPA and she always has time
to take care of her family. French is her native language and she is always willing
to share her culture. I have learned a lot from her.
Ketia has strong qualities to take into the classroom. She is kind, patient,
caring, responsible, easy going, optimistic, and knowledgeable. She is not afraid to
try things in different ways so students will be able to understand. I believe she
would be an asset to your staff.
