This is a letter of recommendation for Ketia L. Francois which I am very pleased to write. Ketia has just
completed her student teaching in the foreign language department here at Mandan High School where her
maturity and experience only served to enhance our team.

As head of the foreign language department here in Mandan High School I was able to observe Ketia first
hand in the classroom, in the work room, and in department meetings. In all situations, Ketia always
displayed the competence and capabilities to perform at a high level of effectiveness. Her self-confidence is
visibly evident in the tactful and diplomatic judgement she uses when interacting with students, other teachers
and with parents. Ketia attended each of the department meetings held and always contributed to the
meetings, sharing productive ideas and activities.

Ketia is highly energetic and very willing to go the extra mile in the classroom. She always worked to create
lessons that were motivating and well scaffolded to facilitate learning. In addition, she consistently created a
welcoming, achievement-oriented classroom environment for her students. She developed a very good rapport
with each of her students and this helped out a great deal in the transition to distance learning due to the
coronavirus. Ketia continued to be very effective in incorporating the new technology and in creating lessons
that were engaging, innovative and standards based.
