I was excited to see your advertisement for the position of a casual retail assistant in the Werribee
Times.

Through my schooling, I have demonstrated my ability to learn quickly and exceed expectations. As a
Year 10 student, I am experienced in utilizing interpersonal and communication skills. In the previous
4 years, I have been a student at MacKillop College, I have participated in many voluntary activities
such as engaging in the position of SRC in 2017, dedicating my time to the school choir and
delivering an informative speech about first aid to over 300 emergency management workers.
Through these events, I have improved my public speaking, communication and social skills, whilst
supporting my school.

My reports suggest that I always meet behavioural expectations, manage my personal organisation
and strive for accuracy and precision. These skills will be applied to the casual position, as I maintain
them throughout my study.

Some personal attributes that would make me suitable for the casual position at DOLOR include:

 People skills: Being surrounded by a diverse group of people in my community has helped to

improve my people skills.
 Time Management: According to my teachers and peers, I am competent in submitting high-
quality work on time.
 Numeracy skills: I can solve basic equations throughout all operation areas. I am also able to
function a basic and scientific calculator. I have completed three years of the statistics units
in Mathematics at Mackillop College. I have a broad understanding of graphs, diagrams and
tables.

I am a motivated person and self-driven person, who is dedicated to her studies and would be
dedicated to her position of employment. I believe that with my advanced people skills and strong
work ethic I would be a suitable candidate for this position.
