Guidelines regarding Summer 2020 Examination

As per above mentioned Resolutions of Education Department, all the stakeholders are
informed to take a note of start of examination dates for UG/Diploma final semester and PG –
all semesters as mentioned below:

 Students will be given choice of examination center. Student can either appear in
examination from his/her institute or district of residence. If any student selects to
appear in examination from his/her district of residence than exam center will be

provided by GTU and no request for change of exam center will be entertained by the
University.
 Proper guidelines as prescribed by Government regarding Mask, Social Distancing
and Sanitizer should be implemented at each exam center.
 Sanitizer should be kept at the entry of each examination block.
 Persons not wearing mask should not be allowed to enter inside the exam center.
 Sanitization of Institute building and Hostel building should be done by each exam
center.
 Duration of examination will be of 2 hours. Revised Paper style applicable only for
Summer- 2020 examination will be displayed on GTU website.
 For intermediate semester in UG/Diploma courses, Merit based Progression as
described in above mentioned Education Department Resolutions will be
implemented.
 External Theory examination will be conducted for all regular/remedial semesters of
PG Courses.
 If Practical Examination is already conducted by Institutes than the marks obtained by
the students will be submitted by Institute to the University. If Practical Examination
is not conducted at Institute level than Merit based Progression as described in above
mentioned Education Department Resolutions will be implemented.
 External Practical/Viva Examination of UG/Diploma courses will be conducted by
institute’s endorsed faculty.
 For DP-II/DP-I in M.E/M. Pharm, external evaluation will be carried out. Detailed
guidelines/timetable regarding the same will be published on GTU website.
 If any UG/Diploma student of intermediate semester wants to improve his/her grade
than he/she can appear in the special examination which will be conducted by
University in the next semester. After declaration of result for intermediate semesters
as per Merit based Progression as described in above mentioned Education
Department Resolutions, option will be given to students regarding whether they want
to appear in special examination or not.

 Detailed schedule for exam form filling, time table and M I V marks entry will be
displayed on GTU Website soon. Entry of M I V components should be completed
by all affiliated institutes on or before 05/06/2020.
 Remedial/Special term extension University Theory Examination will be conducted
for all Semester/Branch/Courses. So, Students are informed to remain prepared for the
same.

 If any student from GTU affiliated colleges or persons staying with him/her is
infected due to CORONA virus than his/her special examination will be conducted by
University afterwards. Student will have to submit the Medical Certificate from
government hospital prior to the start of the examination.

All the affiliated Institutes are hereby informed to convey this Circular to its all
faculties/students.
