Conclusion:
In Conclusion I had much fun experimenting with the sounds I had sourced
from the different free to use sound effect websites, I used multiple different sound files to
replicate the sounds heard in the official sounds within the film, for example when making
my own edit of the film, I combined the sounds from a coin machine as the coin is put in and
a can of beer being opened, the sound produced then sounded similar to a tape being
pushing into a tape player almost perfectly. I also combined the sound of a can being
crushed and tinfoil being crumpled to replicate the sound of Wall: E crushing his collection
pieces.
Overall I think I created a fitting atmosphere to that which was used in the official film, I
matched as many sounds as I could and listed the sounds I needed to create before making
my edit, as to know what sound effects to gather, and took notes of what specific points I
wanted to make for my edit and believe I planned a executed a great first piece for sound
design.
If I were to improve it, I would’ve added a sound effect for Eve’s hovering, however the
sound effects titled futuristic and hoover were too distracting from the background music,
so I felt it was better without it, if I could, I would source a better sound effect to replicate
the hovering.
