respondents, most of them have healthy perception, that is 243 people (60.8%).
Then 82 respondents (20.5%) felt that their health condition was in a moderate
condition, and the rest of 75 people (18.8%) felt very healthy.
And from the results of the analysis it can be seen that the number of
respondents living in rural areas is more than 64.3% compared to respondents
who are high in the city, which is 143 people (35.8%).
Variable types of complaints are divided into two categories, namely chronic and
acute, can be seen that the number of respondents who stated suffering from
illness acute was greater, namely 222 people (55.5%) compared to respondents
who suffered from chronic diseases, namely 10 people (2.5%), and who did not
know as many as 168 people (42.0%) .
In the variable income have incomes> USD 1,000,000 / month, is 331 people
(82.8 percent) while those earning incomes ≤ Rp 1,000,000 / month there were
69 (17, 3 percent). In the insurance variable can be seen that the number of
respondents who participated in health insurance more, as many as 284 people

facilities health is 19.17 minutes. In this study, the variable distance of health
facilities seen that the number of respondents living near facilities health is 273
(68.3%) more than respondents whose homes are far from health facilities,
namely 127 people (31.8%) of 400 respondents surveyed.
in this study, it can be analyzed that the respondents who use traditional
medicine is higher, at 255 (63.8%) compared with those who do not use
traditional medicine, namely 145 (36.3%).
Several factors contribute to the high use of drugs traditional among them is the
distance where the relationship between the distance traveled by the respondent
to a health facility is influential because if the distance to a health facility is far
away then it allows the respondent to use medicinal plants as an treatment
Alternative compared to having to go to a health facility.
E.
Conclusion
In this conclusion it can be said that respondents are motivated to use traditional
medicines with (a) predisposing factors, namely illness perceived. (b) supporting
factors, namely economic level, domicile, type of complaint, insurance, and distance to
health facilities, and (c) supporting factors, namely family support and promotion of
traditional medicines. This study found that the factors that act as predictors in the use
of traditional medicines are variables of gender, ethnic group, perceived illness, type of
complaint, distance to health facilities, and promotion of medicine traditional, with
variables of work, insurance, education, family support, domicile, and revenue that
serves as a confounding variable.
F. Research
Analysis
Medicinal plants are very common in Indonesia, most people Indonesian use it as an
alternative medicine for some diseases or just to maintain their health. Many factors
influence the community to choose medicinal plants compared to using chemical drugs
that clearly have side effects in the future including hereditary traditions that have been
passed on from ancestors about the use of medicinal plants themselves. With this, the
government only needs to increase health promotion of medicinal plants so that many
people use medicinal plants as an alternative treatment.
