A.STRESS

Stress is the wear and tear that life causes on the body. It occurs when a person has
difficulty dealing with life situations, problems and goals. Each person handles stress
differently: one person can thrive in a situation that creates great distress for another.
For example many people view public speaking as scary but for teachers and actors, it is
an everyday, enjoyable experience.
B. ANXIETY

Anxiety is a vague feeling of dread apprehension. It is a response to external or internal


stimuli that can have behavioral, emotional, cognitive and physical symptoms. It
distinguished from fear, which is feeling afraid or threatened by a clearly identifiable
external stimulus that represents danger to the person. It is unavoidable in life and can
serve many positive functions such as motivating the person to take action to solve
problems or to resolve a crisis.

ASSESSMENT
Stress happens in every individuals that occurs in all degrees, caused by everyday
living and in our different stressors. Person experiencing stress will manifest symptoms
like headache, low energy, upset stomach, insomnia, etc. It can be positive or negative,
positive if applied therapeutically to promote change and negative when it causes
illness. While anxiety is an anticipation impending danger and dread feeling of an
individuals, they shows unusual behaviors if it attacks, it is cause of stress, fears, and
apprehensions, it shows debilitating symptoms that makes a person weak but different
in each level of anxiety. Anxiety is difficult to manage than stress , it also needs
treatment. They can both occur at a time sometimes, since stress is a response in
situations then anxiety is a reaction of stress.
