STEVE JOBS BIOGRAPHY

Steven Paul Jobs was an American inventor, designer
and entrepreneur who was the co- founder, chief
executive and chairman of Apple Computer. Apple's
revolutionary products, which include the iPod, iPhone
and iPad, are now seen as dictating the evolution of
modern technology.
Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955, in San
Francisco, California. His parents were two University of
Wisconsin graduate students, Joanne Carole Schieble and
Syrian-born Abdulfattah Jandali. They weren´t married at the time. Jandali, who was teaching in Wisconsin
when Steve was born, said he didn´t have choice but to put the baby up for adoption because his
girlfriend's family objected to their relationship.
The baby was adopted at birth by Paul Reinhold Jobs and Clara Jobs. Later, when a reporter asked Jobs
about his "adoptive parents," he replied emphatically that Paul and Clara Jobs were his parents. His father
showed Steve how to work on electronics in the family garage, demonstrating to his son how to take apart
and rebuild electronics such as radios and televisions.
In 1976, when Jobs aged 21, he and Steve Wozniak started Apple Computer in the Jobs’ family garage.
They funded their entrepreneurial, Jobs sold his Volkswagen bus and Wozniak sold his beloved scientific
calculator. Jobs and Wozniak revolutionized the computer industry with Apple. They made machines
smaller, cheaper, intuitive and accessible to everyday consumers.
In 1986, Jobs bought an animation company from George Lucas, it became Pixar Animation Studios.
Believing in Pixar's potential, Jobs initially invested $50 million of his own money in the company. The
studio went on to produce wildly popular movies such as Toy Story, Finding Nemo and The Incredibles.
Steve Jobs died in Palo Alto on October 5, 2011, after battling pancreatic cancer for nearly a decade. He
was 56 years old.
