InfoZone – mounting instructions

The InfoZone is used to enable Time&Space users without personal web access to view their
Time &Attendance and also submit requests. It has a built in contactless RFID reader for user
identification. The position of the reader is marked on the unit’s housing. It is mounted to the
wall using the provided hardware.

General mounting instructions

The InfoZone should be mounted at a height


of approx. 160cm and tilted at an angle of
approx. 20° so the user can look directly into
the screen. Two cables must be routed to the
mounting location. A 24 AWG Ethernet cable
with an active connection to your network and
the supplied power adaptor and cable. The
cables should be mounted in a way as to
discourage easy disconnection and/or
tampering.

 Disassemble the wall-mounting plate There is a hole template provided for your
convinience

Step 2  Mark holes using the provided


template
 Drill the holes with a 8mm
masonry bit 80mm deep
 Insert the anchors
 Use the provided screws to
tighten the mount to the wall
 Do not overtighten the screws

General precautions:
 Do not sever any of the provided power cables. Danger of electrical shock.
 Do not cover the front of the unit with metal because it will cause the reader to stop working.
 Do not mount the unit in a space with strong electromagnetic radiation.
 Do not mount another RFID reader in close proximity. The distance between the units
should be at least five times the reading range.
