EXPERIENCE Naturalist Intern – San Mateo County Outdoor Education Sept. 2019-
May 2020
Led students on day and night hikes while implementing lessons based on the major
concepts of the program such as natural history, redwood and wetland ecology to fifth
and sixth grade students. Worked with elementary teachers, trained/supervised high
school cabin leaders, practiced large group management and leading discussions.

Los Árboles Middle School Research Oct. 2018-Apr. 2019


Wrote lesson plans on topics relating to ethnobotany and taught the Environmental
Literacy class on Thursdays and Fridays at the middle school for three months. The
class strived to connect students’ cultures to their school garden. Presented our findings
at the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center (UROC).

Finance and Marketing Coordinator - Twin Rivers Unified School District

Assisted Grant Union High School’s GEO Academy 12th graders on their marketing
projects. Processed the finances for their student-run salsa business, created invoices,
and delivered salsa. Booked demo events, drove students to and from events, and
ensured students’ safety.

Garden Tour Leader - Health Education Council Oct. 2016 – May 2017
Lead 25+ fieldtrips of fifth graders through the GEO Academy Garden alongside five
other tour leaders. Taught students about pollinators, plant adaptations, nutrition, knife
safety, and cross contamination while helping students cook their own meals.

Regeneración Pájaro Valley Climate Action Group Aug. 2018-


Dec. 2018
Completed 30-hours of Service Learning. Canvassed in the community of Watsonville
and wrote a policy paper on the affects climate change is having on farmworkers.
