I. OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the session the students are expected to:

a. Define Housekeeping
b. Identify the role of Housekeeping
c. Show the importance of Housekeeping.
d. Explain the relevance of the course.

II. LEARNING CONTENT:

Topic: Housekeeping (Definition and Importance)

          Reference: Internet, Housekeeping Module pages 1-2

Materials: Laptop, projector, paper and pen

Date: June 3, 2019

III. LEARNING TASK:

        A. Preliminary Activities

a. Greetings
b. Prayer
c. Checking of attendance

B. Presentation of the Lesson:

a. Motivation: Bubble Map
The teacher will show a Bubble Map to the students where
“CLEANLINESS” is at the center. Then, she will ask them to think of
words that are related to the word.
-How are these words connected to each other?

C. Development of the Lesson:

1. Discussion:
a. What is Housekeeping”
b. What is the role of Housekeeping?
c. What are the different Golden Housekeeping Rules?
2. Activity:
Mannequin Challenge:
(The class will be divided into five groups and each group will be
ask to portray the importance of Housekeeping through a picture using
their own bodies.)
 3. Analysis:
Make a lists of possible job opportunities one could have after
taking
the course.

4. Abstraction:
Good housekeeping improves safety, efficiency and quality at the
same time.

5. Application:
Give 3 ways on how are you going to apply Housekeeping to the
following situations?
a. at home
b. in the school
c. to yourself

IV. Generalization:
Good housekeeping is a day to day activity and should not be viewed as a
separate task or something to do after the shift. Clean up time is all the time!
V. Values Integration:
            Relate the quote “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” to Housekeeping.

VI. Evaluation:
1. Essay: The Importance of Housekeeping ( 5 points)
