International Organization for Standardization

Introduction:
Companies that use ISO values may be beneficial for them, but they may actually be encouraged
to get specialized and adopt the system. Industrial sectors have used ISO 9000 for different
aspects. The worth of the specifications, the sales and marketing advantages, and the requirement
of each specific company or merchandise.

Corporations and firms value how the standard can enhance their own industry procedures and
reduce the amount of scrap and left overs, reuse and cost and capital. Second reason,
industrialists with comparable products, service and their retail value and utilize the ISO
certification to standout from their competitors. “It gives you a marketing advantage over the
competition. It’s a differentiator,” says John A. DiMaria, BSI Management Systems (Reston,
VA) product manager for business continuity for information security management and IT.

The last reason to discuss, production companies utilize ISO 9000 is that companies are forced to
use it. Manufacturer sometimes requires their suppliers to adopt ISO as well. Nevertheless, the
certificate of ISO alone will not necessary enhance the manufacturers quality of production. The
aim must improve the businesses, not only on written on documents. ISO standards can
recuperate a company business procedure and enhance its value.

The company that use ISO which is Yaqoob for cement:

1- What is ISO?

the companies that was established in 1946 in Britain.

the quality and the safety standards worldwide and for international affairs and
simultaneously ISO helps decrease the manufacture cost through using this standard.
3- What has increased in the factory?

has not deeply impacted local companies. Thus, some companies in Kurdistan and Iraq
don’t even recognize ISO.
4- Did the demand for the products increase when they adopted ISO?

adopting ISO.

A company that is not (ISO) Certified:

Because the (ISO) rules are environment and society friendly the organization or companies have
to pass through a tough filter for them to be able to receive the (ISO) certificate. This also has a
high cost for organization and companies to rise their work quality, that’s why some of the
companies don’t have an (ISO).

Another important principle is Relationship Management. It means that a company pays special
attention to relations between all stakeholders. Such approach helps to improve communication
and trust. Being free to consider opinions, it’s possible to achieve better understanding between
influencing parties.

The main goal of getting this ISO certification is to introduce the requirements for establishing
and constantly improving the Information Security Management System (ISMS). The standard
consists of 35 security categories such as access control, physical and environmental security,
privacy and protection of information, and so on. Besides that, there are 114 controls in place.

Analysis:
The comparison results show that the ISO-certified companies demonstrate
Significantly higher performance than companies without ISO certification in all perspectives of
performance. Moreover, the ISO certified companies show greater strength in all relationship
paths as compared to uncertified firms. These results indicate that ISO certification has a
significant effect on the performance of manufacturing companies. Companies that utilize ISO
qualities might be helpful for them, yet they may really be urged to get specific and receive the
framework. Industrial sectors have utilized ISO 9000 for various viewpoints. The value of the
deals and showcasing points of interest, and the necessity of every particular organization or
product.

Conclusion:
In Conclusion, the companies and manufacturers that use ISO 9000 have an advantage in terms
of customer’s satisfaction, quality and health measures. Companies that have connections with
international organizations are required to have ISO 9000 certification in order to go on with
their businesses, simultaneously, local companies in Kurdistan are not required to have ISO 9000
certification and a large number of companies are not even familiar with ISO 9000. Having ISO
9000 certification is definitely a huge and rather an essential step that local companies need to
achieve.
