    The highway live loading on the bridges or incidental structures shall conform to the following highway

    live load, whichever governs;

    MS18 (HS20) Loading

    For bridges that may carry heavy truck traffic the minimum live load shall be MS18 (HS20) as designated
    herein and shown in the following figures.
    W = Combined weight on the first two axles which is the same as for the corresponding H truck.

    V = Variable spacing — 14 feet to 30 fet inclusive. Spacing to be used is that which produces maximum
    stresses

    Alternate Military Loading

    The alternate military loading shall consist of two axles, 1.22m apart with each axle weighing 107kn

    Permit Design Loading

    The permit loading was developed to ensure sufficient bridge live load capacity to carry extra legal live
    loads allowed by permit
