Candida in urine

What is Candiduria?

Candiduria is one unwanted form of yeast infection happening in the urine of both
male and female. One of the most prevalent and embarrassing form of Candida infection is
Candida in urine. This is one of the most painful forms of Candida infection and medicine
practitioners find this infection very hard to deal with. It isn't necessary to lose hope for those
suffering from Candida in urine, because it is curable. Candiduria can be insignificant at
times and also show extreme symptoms which may lead to more serious infections. It is
always better to identify Candida in urine at initial stage and start with expertise treatment.

As previously discussed about Candida Balanitis, Candida in urinehas some similar

symptoms such as infection or contamination occurring at genitalia, bladder, urethra or
urinary track. The best way to prevent such infection is to take precautions and self-care
measures to keep out of yeast in urine. A person should maintain a good hygiene for the
genital area. A woman is more likely to get a candiduria infection for which it is suggested for
women to use neutral soap to keep their vagina clean. This helps in maintaining the pH of
the vagina and keeps away from the contamination of yeast in genitalia. Men who are not
circumscribed should keep their penis clean, especially under the foreskin where the
bacteria can accumulate and pass into the urine through the urethra. One who is having a
penis yeast infection should not eat food rich with sugar and carbohydrates and starch. They
help in yeast growth in penis under foreskin leading to the growth of yeast in urine.
Maintaining a very healthy and natural diet can keep you away from Candida growth.

Tests and Treatments:

During a test performed at Gwalior M.P. in India 80 samples of urine were collected
from a hospital. All the patients were suffering from diabetes mellitus. During this study it
was found that 50 out of 80 patients had Candida infection. This study also indicated that
non Albicans Candida was also present in some patients suffering from diabetes. This study
profoundly states that patients with diabetes are more at a risk of having mycotic infections
that is albican germ forming Candida in urine. Out of the 50 patients that were found with this
infection 35 were male and 15 were female. There were also 3 other female patients who
had non-albican Candida infection. Thus, it must be said that non-albican Candida is also a
being found in the urine of diabetic patients.

For patients suffering from severe Candida infection should initially be regarded as
harbingers of disseminated candidiasis since the kidney is the first organ to be affected due
to this infection among 80 % of patients. Finding yeast in urine is the only clue that a patient
has about the life threatening infection. Is such a case a person should immediately go for
fungal blood culture. Summarizing the whole fact that successful treatment involves surgical
intervention combined with the use of fluconazole for Candida in urine. There are no
convincing data that Iitraconazole drug be used to cure Candida infection in urine. Studies of
the appropriate treatment had given us many ideas as to how this noxious infection is
controlled and treated.

Candiduria patient sometimes do not show symptoms, in which case the patient
should not be ignored nor should be hastily treated, but should be given full attention and
care to find out the real causes and proper treatment. Symptoms of Candida are little
different from those of the same infections produced by other pathogens. Candiduria
occurring in critically ill patients should initially be regarded as a marker for the possibility of
invasive candidiasis. Firstly the patient should be verified by repeating the urine culture.

Prevention is the first step while you are infected or prone to such infections as they
are easily transmitted through sexual intercourse from a person having Candida in urine.
Being casual or failing to take care of such infection can cause severe illness in the future.
Learning more about the symptoms are more important as you would not want to be the host
of such infection.

Some symptoms are as follows:

1. Smelly urine

2. Temperature of the same

3. Color of urine

Dark colored urine mixed with blood is a clear sign of Candida in urine. It is
suggested to not exacerbate the infection in such situation but to consult a physician
and take proper treatments as will be mentioned by the physician.
