 Come up with the name of at least one organization for each of mentioned organizational
structure in the given chart and do justify your answer with the help of six key elements
of organizational design (work specialization, departmentalization, chain of command,
span of control, centralization and decentralization, and formalization).

Expectations from the Students

 At the first hand, students are supposed to read, understand, clarify and remember the
concepts related to all these mentioned traditional and contemporary organizational
structure.
 Once they completely understand the relevant concepts, they are required to review web
sites of different organizations and try really hard to get information about their structure
in term of defined six key elements and categorize them as one of the above mentioned
organizational structure. Therefore they are supposed to bring at least name of one
organization for all the above mentioned organizational structure.
 Along with that they are also required to give a very valid justification as well in the form
of six key elements about why they are categorizing a particular organization as one of
the mentioned organizational structure.

Submission:

 How to Submit: Students submitting this assignments should adhere to the following
guidelines:
1. Students are supposed to develop front page with the detailed information
about their name, registration number, submission day and date along with the
name of their tutor.
 2. Students are encouraged to type this assignment on MS word document with
the applicable font size and formatting (Font size: 12 and Formatting: Times
New Roman).
3. Each copy of the assignment must be bound using a single staple at the top left
hand corner. Binding using a plastic folder is not required.
 When to Submit: Students are supposed to submit this assignment in next weeks.
 Student will discuss their assignment in class for the evaluation.
