1. How do you make and respond to enquiries in writing?

When writing an enquiry letter, the writing must be specific in the details required
such as prices of goods, quality, delivery details, discount offered and term of
payment. Meanwhile, when respond to an enquiry, the writing must answered every
specific query.

2. What are some considerations to be taken when writing an enquiry letter and
responding to it?

 Open your inquiry response with appreciation

 Understand the request precisely

 Use numbered points when there are many information is required

 Reply as soon as possible

 Providing additional information

 Closing a letter hoping for future business

3. What are some of the common expressions used in writing an enquiry letter?

4. What is conversational business language? Provide examples of conversational

Conversational business language is language that we use in writing in order to


express genuine interest and sound more sincere to our customer.It also can be
referred as “everyday language”, “natural language” or “social communication”.

5. What is meant by parallelism? How do you ensure parallel sentences in writing?

Parallelism is the use of components in a sentence that are grammatically the same or
similar in their expression of words, phrases, or clauses. In order to ensure parallel
sentences in writing, we need to use a same form of verb and nouns, use numbers, use
‘a’ and use pronouns.
