Sew Safe Checklist

Power off and then unplug your sewing machine when not in use

Keep electrical cords tucked away so you do not trip

Never force your machine to sew over material that is too thick or over pins

Keep your fingers and face away from all moving parts on your machine

When using a sharp cutting tool, always cut AWAY from your body

Remember to use a cutting board to protect your work station and your cutting tools

When using an iron, never touch the face plate. When the iron is not in use, unplug it
and place it in the proper position

Wear shoes in your sewing room

Keep your area clean, especially if small children or pets have access to your
sewing room
