    After Reading:
    Work on the activities below the
    story.
    Activity 1 : Answer the question
    below.
    Activity 2: Write the problem from the story in the left box. Write two possible
    solutions to the problem in the centre box. In the right box, write the actual solution
    from the story.
    Activity 3 : : Read each word at the top of the page. Add the suffix –ed to each
    word. Then, use the new words to complete the sentences below.
    Activity 4:: Read each question carefully and choose the best answer.
    Activity 5:: WRITING.
    Pretend you are Simon. Write a letter to the dragon asking him to be your friend.
    Be sure to tell him what fun things you will do together.
    Activity 6: SOCIAL STUDIES AND ART.
    How can you help someone who feels lonely? Draw a picture and write about it.
