Part 1: After checking the Unit 1 Topic 2: Modal Verbs, write 1 sentence

using each one of the modal verbs regarding your duties and rights as
UNAD student: can – could – may - must - should - ought to – have to –
need to- had better - would.

1. I can do the english test and pass it while I have studied enough.
2. At the beginning of the calculus course, I just could derive and
solve the factoring cases.
3. If I did all the english activities, I would approve the total course
at the end.
4. In this education model, I must study a lot by myself and read a
lot of books to understand the differents topics.
5. I should not upload all the activities for the deadline day.
6. Me and my classmates ought to work together to increase and
improve our knowledge.
7. I may not remember some topics that I studied at the beginning
of this engineering.
8. I have to study and practice the listening part a lot before to do
the English tests.
9. We need to learn all the knowledge for our profesional live, not
only to pass the courses or the tests.
10. I had better check the exercises and the activities, and after do it
with time.

Part 2: According to the topic Past Progressive (Unit 1: Topic 3), each
student must write 5 things you were doing recently and 5 things you
were not:

 I was travelling with my family to Melgar the last weekend.


 I was remodeling my new apartment with my brother.
 About last night, I was eating a Tomahawk and a cup of wine. It
was Delicious.
 Yesterday, I was doing the english and calculus homework.
 The last week, I was playing soccer with my ALS team and we won
the last mach, so we were the champions.
 I was not sharing time with my girlfriend because I was enjoying
with my family.
 I was not riding the horse because it had one leg broke.
 The last time at the gym, I was not jumping the rope. I had an ankle
discomfort.
 I was not sleeping the last night because we had an emergency at
the job. We had to solve it and it took all the night.
 I was not watching the “Joker” because I went to the cinema with
my two child.

Part 3: Write a text about how you imagine yourself in ten years. Use at
least two pictures related to your text. You should write four paragraphs:

Example: I will work in a multimedia company in New York.

 Paragraph 1: Introduce yourself.


 Paragraph 2: Your working life.
 Paragraph 3: Your loved life.
 Paragraph 4: Your sporting life.

Each paragraph must have minimum four (4) sentences and maximum
six (6) sentences. It must have a title, from 230 words to 250 and it is
necessary to use and highlight the following topics:

A little guide to my life in ten years
Hi, my name is Victor Eduardo Chipiaje Nuñez and I am 30 years old. I
am studying electronic Engineering at UNAD. I have two girls and I live
with them and a little puppy. I want to talk about my thoughts in ten
years,about my family, love and sport live.
In ten years, I will keep working with Ecopetrol at least that I have any
option to choose, have in count job conditions and about the payment. In
adition, I may acquire some fixed assets that in the future it could
generate some additional income, for instance, vehicles that can work in
the oil fields or an apartment or house that I can rent to other people.
Maybe, If the incomes are enough, I will think about leave the job and
focus in a new business or just living from the rent of these fixed assets.
I think that in the future, I will be with a great woman that can help me
to be a better person, a woman who can say: “Hey Victor, let’s do a new
Project, let’s build an empire”, a woman that have to correct me when I
make mistakes. I would like to be with a person that not put off things, a
person that can be able to ask me when I would be down: “Hey, honey,
what is going on? Are you fine?” A person that never run out love.
About my Sporting life, I will try to work out at the gym and I will be a
good soccer player and maybe I would like to create a kind of foundation
to poor people or people that their life conditions are not the best.

Part 4: Students must comment about two partners’ contributions and


make corrections if necessary.
