VI. Answer any THREE of the following. (Each question carries 5 marks) 3 x 5 = 15
33. A point charge of 20 c is situated at a point O . A & B are points 0.05m and 0.15m away from

this charge. Calculate the amount of work done to move an electron from B to A.

34. A copper wire of 106 m2 area of cross section carries a current of 2A . If the number of electrons

in cubic metre is 8 1028 . Calculate the current density and average drift velocity.

35. A   mF capacitor in series with 40 resistance is connected to a 110V  60Hz supply.

(a) What is the maximum current in the circuit? [2]
(b) What is the phase difference between maximum current and maximum voltage? [3]
36. A small air bubble is found 0.04 m inside the glass sphere of refractive index 1.5 . When viewed

normally from outside it is seen at depth of 0.03m . Calculate the radius of curvature of glass

sphere.
37. Calculate the change in stopping potential for photoelectrons emitted form surface if the

wavelength of the incident light is reduced form 5900Å to 5000Å .
