Dear Customer Service Manager:

My husband and I purchased a beautiful 2019 Tundra, VIN#565656567898520 on May 13. The
purchasing process went very smoothly and we really enjoyed our sales person, Jim Heutter, who, in
spite of the new Covid-19 requirements, was excellent and helpful and friendly.

During negotiations, we discussed that we were planning to purchase a fifth wheel trailer, and
inquired if Toyota had any kind of camera situation for a trailer. Jim said that yes, there was a backup
camera plus tire sensor monitor option and we could add to our truck. We agreed to purchase the
back up camera accessory pack. He told us to call and make an appointment to bring the truck and
trailer into the shop for installation once the trailer had been purchased.

Once we purchased the trailer, we called for our appointment for the back up camera installation. The
service manager, Eric, informed us that they were unable to install the camera directly on the trailer.
That, in fact, installing the camera onto the trailer was against their policy due to liability concerns.
Now we will have to take the trailer to a third party to have the camera installed.

While we love our truck and were excited for the back up camera, the fact that the information wasn't
presented to us completely has interrupted our plans. When we bought the trailer, we declined the
backup camera installation straight from the dealer with their labor included with the purchase,
thinking we were getting a camera installed through Toyota.

So, now I have a trailer without a backup camera, a camping trip coming up soon, and must find a
third party to install the camera on the unit. Here are some options that I would like to discuss with
you and I would also like to hear your thoughts on the matter.
● Install the backup camera to our truck and provide us with a refund of $250 which will cover
the cost of the installation to our trailer from our fifth wheel dealership.
● Install the backup camera as expected on our trailer. We understand the liability risks and
would not hold Toyota and your dealership accountable for anything outside the scope of the
installation project.
