    Aftermarket Air Filter Can Cause


    Shift and Driveability Problems
    COMPLAINT: MIL lit, poor acceleration, shift problems, slipping, multiple DTCs,
    low engine RPM
    CAUSE: Over-oiled aftermarket air filter contaminating the mass airflow
    sensor and reducing air flow through the engine
    CORRECTION: Clean the mass airflow sensor (see manufacturer’s cleaning pro-
    cess; replace the air filter.
