RISK ENGINEER

Roles and Responsibilities:

 Investigate / Carry out a risk assessment to identify the risk characteristics, the condition of
risk, and safety measures undertaken by clients, to help the firm to calculate the risk
accurately.

 Identify opportunities to improve the risk selection and assignment process to aid efficiency
and improve timeliness based on various risk characteristics and locations.

 Work closely with stakeholders in the identification and implementation of alternative survey
processes, including virtual surveys, Robotic Processes Automation etc.

 Identify opportunities for improvement within the virtual survey process, tools, and technology.

 Review integrity file records, projects and inspection records, and summarize findings.

 Coordinates with Sites a prioritized well integrity monitoring plans and investigative tasks to
ensure quality data is gathered to adequately conduct the necessary risk analysis for operating
wells.

 Support and improve systems to enhance the team performance.

 Develop / Assist in drafting of documents and reports.

 Follows up on development of tools and methods to improve asset and well integrity risk
management system by reviewing technical papers, publications, manuals and attending
seminars/conferences.

 Ensures risk management processes are properly used in well reviews and risk ranking. Take
an active role in conducting well peer reviews.

 Guides, directs and supervises subordinates to ensure they work to their best potential and
contribute effectively as a Team.

 Participate in industry networks to ensure industry recommended integrity and reliability

practices are explored and considered for adoption in the Asset and Well Integrity Dashboard
Program.

 Carry out fieldwork as needed.

 Provide technical guidance and develops procedures/manual for asset and well Integrity risk
management.

 Ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.

 Familiar with Asset and Well Integrity Dashboard.

 Familiar with risk engineering industry standards, Codes and guidelines.

 Familiar with risk data management tools, record keeping & report writing.

 Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience and strong working knowledge
of assets and well integrity & risk management.

Accountabilities

 Liaise with other disciplines to ensure integrated solutions are developed.

 Responsible for delivering projects under his supervision within designated commercial targets.
 Ensure compliance with HSE policy and also display commitment to generic safety goals of
inherent safety procedures in line with client’s expectations.
 Perform work in accordance with Company’s quality procedures and will lead the preparation of
proposals and / or contribute specialist input as part of a proposal team.
 Develop new, and maintain existing, client and stakeholder relationships.

Minimum Competency Required to hold the position

Academic
Qualification / Trade BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Certificates
Minimum 20 Year of Experience

 Experience in Operating Phase on offshore oil and gas facilities.

 Experience  Experience in process safety of Operating Asset Integrity.
 Working in the field of Risk Based Integrity Management in the oil
and gas.
