As a senior year bachelor student of Math and Informatics teaching faculty at Baku Engineering

University, I write this letter to express my keen interest toward the Master's degree in Computer
Science through HTP Program in China.
I have been feeling excited about this opportunity since I heard about it first and right after
made a sharp decision of applying to take the chance of studying Computer Science in China.
Several reasons ignites me to think about pursuing a degree in Computer Science. To tell
the truth, I was not a “tech-friendly” girl in my childhood. Thus, it was a completely new branch
challenge for me to start everything at once as a junior student at university. But Despite the
difficulties, through time, I realized how things related to a computer such as programming
languages, different applications, attracted my attention. Although I have enrolled in pedagogical
faculty during five years, I have taken many courses of Computer Science and Technology such
as Programming??, Data Structures, and Algorithms, Database Management Systems. etc.
Nearly seventy percent of my bachelor curriculum let me apply and took courses by relying on
my previous study.
During my bachelor years, I was an active participant and spectator of different subject-related
events and competitions. I was the organizer of some events, namely, such as “Makers’ days -
2017”; an annual event that brings many companies, organizations and individuals together to
collaborate, share and discuss some ideas. Especially the workshops I have been to, about
women empowerment through technology had a paramount impact on me to do my best to
help women in my country for a new era of innovation. ??? (modify the sentence)
Now, I have straightforward ? goals and plans for a Master's degree (Now, I have a strong will
and determination towards my future objectives to pursue during my Master’s degree).
First of all, I am strongly interested in Data Science, which is one of the main branches of
Computer Science. It is a really interesting field of science to investigate and do some
researches. I would also like to develop personally through Data Science to become a
professional in that field since it becomes the fastest-growing career in different industries. I
usually wonder and try to apply all the things I have learnt about Data Science through seminars
and talks ?? how ?. So, I consider it quite a profitable career path for myself.
To be successful as a Computer Science major, we need to enjoy the process and have some
skills like problem-solving, creativity and critical thinking. I consider myself an individual who
resembles all skills above and delivers innovative and effective solutions. As we know,
especially programming demands us to be determined and eager to handle the multiple problems
we face. According to my experiences during the courses I took, I can undoubtedly say that I am
ready for the new challenges which are likely to come up and confident about finding multiple
solutions.
Studying in China is kind of a dream that I want to turn it into reality. First of all, China is
one of the global leaders of the field which became an innovator from imitator in the last
decades. And I usually follow these rapid changes and feel excited about smart cities such
as Shanghai, Beijing, which use brand new technological systems. So, taking the chance of
observing all technological developments and having an opportunity to work in that
atmosphere will help me to implement all gained experience and skills to apply in my
country in the right way. And also, as an overseas student, I would like to learn the Chinese
language and culture and represent it, when I am back in my country. – well written 😊
Apart from that, it is obvious that the future will be in digital native generations’ hands. So, for
me, it is important to pursue knowledge about human-computer interaction and share it with
others in my country to develop it through the digital world.
To sum up, as a person who can overcome challenges, I am confident that I will be a successful
Computer Scientist in the future and to my point of view, I will achieve this through HTP
Program in China.
