From the early days of civilization, as a natural instinct of evolved beings, humans
have always strived towards developing solutions for ease of doing any task; be it
graduating from a simple tool to mechanization of a process to the now-a-days
digitalization of all the domains with the help of computers. Computers gradually
evolved to a level of strategic essential domain for any business to sustain, expand,
and flourish and the dependency on the computers for an individual to live their
lives comfortably has become integral. Dynamics of the world change with latest
of the technologies and designs depending on the process and function to bring an
ease of doing business. This challenging process of developing innovative
solutions to cross the specific hurdles to streamline operations to get a desired
result in an affordable way is what motivated me to pursue Master’s in Computer
Science.
My schooling happened in Muraliroas English Medium High School where I had
best of my memories as a child. Here the learning is an activity that happens with
equal participation of the teacher and student. During my schooling,
Communication skill was given paramount importance as it is the core skill that
can showcase other complex traits in a positive light. I took a proactive role in
academics, sports, cultural, and social events that were conducted. To improve my
logical and analytical skills, I opted Mathematics and Sciences for my senior
secondary education.
My fondness towards computers and software coding came along with my daily
usage of the personal computer with an Internet connection which led me to
explore the world of possibilities to choose a profession. When I joined a basic
coding course on a vacation, the swiftness that I showed compared to other peers in
the process of learning coding gave me the confidence and assurance that coding
with a proper logic is my strength and thus led me to choose Computer Science as
my choice of study for Bachelor’s.
My focused preparation for Engineering Entrance did get me a seat in B. Tech
Computer Science in Siddhartha Institute of Engineering and Technology, Putur.
This is one of the finest institutions to study engineering, especially Computer
Science. The faculty team is all research oriented and did give students a lot of
insights along with the regular syllabus. Optimum use of lab infrastructure was
encouraged to bring out the innovative spirit in the students.
A plenty of workshops, seminars, and hackathons were scheduled all along the
four-year course and I have played a proactive role in these events which gave me
an opportunity to discover my strengths and weakness with respect to soft skills. I
realized that there is always room for improvement given the experiences of the
past to perform good in the present and excel in the future.
My skill sets included a good proficiency in Python and Java languages.
For my final year, I did a project on Supply Chain Management with Safe Payment
using Blockchain technology. This project is to provide secure and fair payment of
outsourcing services in general without relying on any third-party, trusted or not.
We introduced BPay an outsourcing service fair payment framework based on
blockchain in cloud computing.
The above project gave me a lot of insights on the latest of the technologies. I
strongly felt a professional career would be more fruitful if I have better
understanding and upskilling which led to the thought of pursuing a Master’s in
Computer Science which I thought would meet my interest and demands of ever
emergency technology integration of the businesses.
After a thorough discussion with subject matter experts, faculty, and browsing in
the net on the opportunities and demand in the industry, I chose to study Master’s
in Computer Science in US. The reputation of having best of the Educational
Institutions in the world combined with experienced faculty with a thorough
knowledge of the latest technologies and supported labs along with a cosmopolitan
student friendly ecosystem made me choose US as my destination to pursue
Master’s.
Further probing and consulting with domain experts and online search, I strongly
feel an opportunity to study Computer Science in your University would definitely
help me equipping myself to play a strategic role providing solutions irrespective
of domain of the business. The internships from the network of the collaborations
that Your University has will definitely give me a chance to get hands on
experience on real time projects. In addition, the opportunity to study with the
peer students from across the globe in your University will certainly redefine my
perception on various aspects, both technically as well as socially.
My immediate choice after my Master’s is to return to India to start my
professional career in one of the reputed MNCs as a Software professional. India
with a huge population and being the fifth largest and stable economies, I would
like to make a mark with the performance of my organization backed by Master’s
in Computer Science as ways and means to excel.
