LEED Requirements

MR Credit 3.1: Specify salvaged or refurbished materials for 5% of building materials. (1 point)

MR Credit 3.2: Specify salvaged or refurbished materials for 10% of building materials. (1 point)

MR Credit 4.1: Specify a minimum of 25% of building materials that contain in aggregate a minimum weighted average of
20% post-consumer recycled content material, OR, a minimum weighted average of 40% post-industrial recycled content This page is intentionally left blank
material. (1 point)

MR Credit 4.2: Specify an additional 25% (50% total) of building materials that contain in aggregate, a minimum weighted
average of 20% post-consumer recycled content material, OR, a minimum weighted average of 40% post-industrial
recycled content material. (1 point)

MR Credit 5.1: Specify a minimum of 20% of building materials that are manufactured regionally within a radius of 500
miles. (1 point)
MR Credit 5.2: Of these regionally manufactured materials, specify a minimum of 50% that are extracted, harvested, or
recovered within 500 miles. (1 point)
MR Credit 6.0: Specify rapidly renewable building materials for 5% of total building materials. (1 point)

MR Credit 7.0: Use a minimum of 50% of wood-based materials certified in accordance with the Forest Stewardship
Council guidelines for wood building components including but not limited to structural framing and general dimensional
framing, flooring, finishes, furnishings, and non-rented temporary construction applications such as bracing, concrete form
work and pedestrian barriers. (1 point)

Instructions

1. Identify all building materials used in the project and corresponding specifications section numbers (if applicable).
Input total construction costs, labor costs, and equipment costs. The table will automatically calculate the material cost by
subtracting labor and equipment costs from total construction costs. If additional rows are needed, add them using the
Insert/Rows command between existing rows in the Table.

2. In the Resource Reuse column, insert material costs for those materials that qualify for resource reuse. The table
automatically sums these costs at the bottom of the sheet.
3. In the Recycled Content columns, input the post-consumer and post-industrial recycled content percentages for
applicable materials. The Table automatically calculates the recycled content value and sums these values at the bottom
of the sheet.

4. In the Local/Regional Materials columns, input the cost of those materials that qualify as being manufactured with 500
miles of the project site in the first column. Of those materials in the first column, indicate those that qualify as being
extracted, harvested, or recovered within 500 miles. A material cannot qualify for the second column if does not also
qualify for the first column. The table automatically sums these costs at the bottom of the sheet.

5. In the Rapidly Renewable Materials column, input the cost of those items that qualify as rapidly renewable materials.
The table automatically sums these costs at the bottom of the sheet.
6. In the wood materials columns, input the cost of all new wood-based materials in the first column. Input the costs of
those materials that are FSC-certified in the second column. The table automatically calculates the costs at the bottom of
the sheet.
