SYSTEM DESCRIPTION INDOOR CHEMICAL & POLLUTANT


SOURCE CONTROL
Various sources for pollution through indoor chemicals and pollutants have been identified as below:

 Toilets (with stored chemicals)

 Kitchen

 Pantry

 Copier/Reprography
PATNI CAMPUS AT NOIDA
Elaborate exhaust arrangement for each of these areas has been planned through dedicated mechanical exhaust system. Following norms for ventilation of each of these
areas shall be followed:

1 Toilets & Janitor Exhaust @10 air changes per hour with equivalent draw of conditioned air from adjacent
Exhausts areas.

The system shall consist of ceiling mounted in line fans installed on respective floor. PATNI COMPUTERS
2 Kitchen Exhaust @ 40 Air changes per hour & outdoor makeup air @ 35 Air changes per hour
injected through compensating type hoods over cooking stations.

The exhaust air is scrubbed before letting out in atmosphere

3 Pantry Exhaust @ 2 air changes per hour with equivalent draw of conditioned air from adjacent
areas.

The system shall consist of ceiling mounted in line fans installed on respective floor. ARCHITECT

4 Copier/ 7 Pascal Negative Pressure in the room. M/s Design And Development,

The system shall consist of ceiling mounted in line fans installed on respective floor.

Make-up air in all the above areas shall be drawn from adjacent occupied spaces. Email: vidurb@vsnl.com
Care shall be taken to ensure that all exhaust locations are at least 25 feet away from fresh air intakes of air handling units.
