Narrator: Rica is a newly elected chairman of Barangay Sinag. After she was assigned, she immediately
called her people to personally thank them.
Chairman: Good Morning to each and every one. I would like to say thank you for trusting me
and giving me this opportunity to serve all of you. I hope that everyone will help one another to
have a good place to live.
Mhea: (magtataas ng kamay) Chairman, I would like to ask, what is your plan for our barangay?
Chairman: For the next 2 weeks, we will be having a general cleaning to avoid diseases such as
dengue and to prevent us from being affected by the new epidemic called coronavirus

Narrator: After two weeks, they start the general cleaning and every morning, people are required to go
outside to clean streets.
(habang naglilinis)
Andrea: Hey sister. I have a problem.
Andrea: My baby is very sick. She have a high fever. I don’t have enough money to buy medicine
for her. I don’t know what to do.
Mhea: Sister, you don’t have to worry about that. Try to reach our chairman. I heard there’s a
free consultation in our clinic.

At barangay:
Megan:( lalapit) Excuse me ma’am. There’s someone outside looking for you.
Chairman: Okay. Let him in. But before that, guide them to the health center.
Joshua: I would like to report the incident happen to me. Someone stole my things. I feel scared.
Chairman: Please calm down mister. We will investigate this as soon as possible. Don’t worry,
we will bring back your things.
Joshua: Thank you so much. You are a very good chairman.

Narrator: Years after, Rica was awarded as an “Outstanding Chairman of the Decade” for being an
affective official in her barangay. She do a lot of projects, become a very responsible public official and a
person who can be trusted by his people.
Rica: First, I would like to thank everyone because anything won’t be possible without the help
of everybody. Through the help of my fellow ka-barangay, our barangay become a better place
to live. In my barangay, each of us have an equal rights. We give help to those people who
needed it. We don’t care whether you are poor or not. As long as we can, we will help.
