Radon

The chemical element of atomic number 86 bof rare radioactive gas belonging to the noble gas series.

Its naturally occurring radioactive gas that can cause lung cancer. Radon gas is inert colorless
and odorless. Radon is naturally in the atmosphere in trace amounts

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas and comes from the natural breakdown
(radioactive decay) of uranium. It is usually found in igneous rock and soil but some cases well water
may be a source of radon.

EXTRACTED

It has been obtained by pumping the gases OH of a solution of a radium salt sparking the gas
mixture to combine the hydrogen and oxygen removing the water and carbon dioxide by adsorption and
freezing out the radon production

Radon is not produced as the commercial product

Is used to produce radon a radioactive gas used to treat some types of cancer

Radium now has few uses because it is so highly radioactive Radium 223 is sometimes used to
treat prostate cancer that has spread to the bones. Radium used to be used in luminous paints for
example in clock watch dials

Physical properties of radon

Is colorless at standard temperature and pressure and it is most dense gas known. At temperature
below its freezing point it has a brilliant yellow phosphorescence. It is chemically unreactive; it is highly
radioactive and has a short half-life.

It has boiling points of -62.8*c (-79.2*F)

Its density is 9.72 grams per liter making it about seven times as denser as air

Radon dissolves in water and becomes a clear colorless liquid below its boiling point
