1 WELCOME SPEECH OF THE HEAD OF PANEL

1.1 The Head of English Panel welcomed the teachers to the first meeting.

2 CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES OF LAST MEETING

2.1. The last minutes was proposed by Madam Loke and seconded by Mr Chai.

4. REPORT PRESENTATION

4.1 PKSR ASSESMENT METHOD:

1. Year 6 will follow the UPSR format
2. The assessment method for Year 4 and Year 5 will be discussed further whether
want to conduct according to the UPSR format or others.
3. No guideline given for teachers to conduct the exam during MCO.
4. All topics covered in the exam will be given to the students to do revision.

4.3 LINUS: Important dates for LINUS 2.0 2020

i. Saringan 1 Reading-1/3-6/4
ii. Writing -8/3-20/4
* Not carried out due to MCO.

*Will be carried out once school resume.

4.4 MBMMBI:
i) Teachers are encouraged to use any kinds of medium that they think suitable
to deliver the pdp especially Google Classroom..
ii) During MCO, all the teachers used Google Classroom, WhatsApp and other
medium to deliver the lesson.

4.5 PdP Observation:

i) Teachers will be observed at least 2 times throughout the year
(i.e. in March to August)

4.6 Pupils’ Workbooks inspection:

 i) Inspection on March had been carried before the school holiday.

a - Teacher must ensure that the pupils write :

- all the details needed on the cover of the books using ball
point.
- pupils do all the corrections

4.7 English Activities in 2020 :

1. Activities that will be not continue after the MCO
i. Assembly in English
ii. Activities at speakers’ Corner
iii. Program waktu petang
iv. Smart Reader Programme
v. Mind Your Language Camp

2.Storytelling and rhymes recitation 22/7

i. Will be carried out online using Youtube and FB
ii. New rules & guidelines will be set
iii. Marks awarded will be from the judges and the like from Youtube and FB.

3 .Kem Teknik menjawab Year 5 & 6

i. Online tutorial share on Google Classroom (i.e how to write an essay)

5 RPH
5.1 During MCO, teachers write short RPH.
5.2 The template of the RPH being shared to the teachers.

6.1 During MCO, all teachers used Google Classroom, WhatsApp and All School as a
medium to give tutorial, tasks and instructions.
6.2 All teachers are encouraged to use Google Classroom since it is easy to keep the
evidence, keep track on pupils whether they log in to do the exercise or not.
Furthermore, KPM will generate data from Google Classroom as a tool of
evaluation.

9 PLC - SPLGKPM
● All teachers are involved in PLC and all the in house training are consider
PLC.
● PLC on setting Yearly Scheme of Work,Syllabus ,Pemantapan OP & KK
● PLC on OP & KK will be held on 22nd February at SJKC Sentul with
neighbouring schools.

10 PKSR
● Level 1 (1-3) – no examination (assessment during lesson)
● Level 2 (4-5) – twice in a year (May, October)
● Year 6 (3) – Intervensi, Diagnostic, Percubaan
*PKSR for Level 2 will be revised once school re-open.

11 Budget
● Budget 2020 is RM415.59

12 Arising matters
12.1 Exam during MCO will be discussed further. However, before the exam students
will be provided with the topics covered.
12.2 Cikgu Chai will start using Google Meet with the children. Every teacher must
use Google Meet in giving lesson.
12.3 Cambridge English Course – the fee will be revised once the school resume.
