Tingting project. The program as a part of the Brigada Eskwela 2020 aims to serve as a building
block in filling up the materials to be utilized for the school Maintenance Week. In this matter, it
basically concerns the remedy for resources, as well as enhancing teachers and students
cooperation and support practices particularly in terms of school improvement.

The SSG Team decided to conduct a project, ' Walis Tingting Nang sa Brigada ay Luminis", not
merely because of expenditure purposes but also
to help the students recognize and experience
the traditional livelihood of Majayjayeños in a
simple way of making a broomstick or walis-
tingting as a part of the respective Filipino
culture. In addition, it is also a good way to have
a temporary elapse among the students in using
their gadgets and make a good social interaction
while working on it. In order to produce one
broomstick in each student, the SSG Team
enunciated in each classroom to bring their own
materials including coconut leaves, either fresh
or dried and a cutter or any small dagger.
Students were subdivided in different groups
that comprises 3-6 sections based on their
Araling Panlipunan time schedule and each batch
must consumed only one hour. The program was held in March 2, 2020. started at exactly
7:30am where Donita Losanta, SSG auditor led the opening prayer, then the opening remarks
uttered by Jennifer Banda, SSG adviser wherein she emphasized the importance of doing
traditional crafts and the value of the students' cooperation within the project which gives a big
contribution for the upcoming main event of Brigada Eskwela and preceded on the making of
broomstick itself. SSG members assist the students in their designated working areas inside the
covered court bringing their pile of coconut leaves and these action prolonged until the end of
the day. Each batch had already consummated 3-5 broomsticks and those remaining students
who haven't been able to finish the product during that day were enable them to finish it as a
homebased task. The following days, students started to roam around over the town of
Majayjay to vend the broomsticks in a distinct prices based on it's sizes.

Accomplishing three to five broomsticks every hour signifies that most of these students had
seen a good productivity in which their outputs, both school and community will benefit.
CONCLUSION

Helping others is not only good for them and a good thing to do, it also makes us happier and
healthier too. Giving also connects us to others, creating stronger communities and helping to
build a happier society for everyone. And it's not all about profit - we can also spend our time,
clustering ideas and energy. Like what the “Walis Ting-Ting Para sa Brigada” aims : to show and
perform unity and most of all to help. One day the project will become fruitful as it became
successful, as a result of the participation provided by the students of Sta. Catalina Integrated
National High School and reunite to create broom sticks for a cause.
