Short Background
On 29 January 2017, U Ko Ni, a prominent lawyer, an expert on constitutional law and top
legal advisor to the Aung Sun Su Kyi’s ruling party NLD, was shot dead at close range in the
head by a gunman as he was preparing to leave Yangon International Airport, having just
returned from a government-organized visit to Indonesia.

This indicates unnatural or violence death.
Rule of unnatural death: 8th house or/and 8th lord are found aspected or conjoined by
Mars and Rahu in 39 (78%) charts, out of 50 unnatural death charts under study. In this
chart Rahu is opposite to 8th house.
In addition 8th lord Moon is very closely conjoined with Ascendant cusp which is in close
opposition to sudden, unexpected Uranus. Maraka 2nd lord Saturn aspects
Ascendant, its lord Jupiter and Moon.This Saturn is aspected by Mars (violence).
Rule of assassination by Kanak Bosmia: If 8th or 12th CSL signifies house 8 (accidental
death, execution) or 12 (Moksha, assassination), one can be assassinated during the DBAs
of significators of houses 8,12.
12th CSL Moon is in house 12, lord of 8, in the star and sub of Venus in house 3, lord of
houses 6,10,11. The above tested rule is found working in this case.

Short History: A Person, his wife and two brothers went to Katra. They got a room in a
hotel in the morning at 5 AM and went to sleep. At 7 AM he woke up and found that his wife
was not in the room. He tried to search the hotel and in nearby places, but she was not to
be found anywhere. So, he lodged a police complaint about his missing wife.
Hints
If the cuspal sub lord of the 11th be the significator of houses 2, 8 or 11(reunion), a person

The Natal chart or the Map of Birth is the figure of the heavens for the actual moment of the
first cry of a baby. It is the stamp, which is put upon the native, and the temperament he
will be apt to follow during his lifetime. This figure is like a flashlight picture or photograph
of the Universe for that moment as seen from the place of birth. By studying this map of
birth, and signs, houses and planets at birth, forecasts can be made about the health, the
mind, and the diseases liable to, the temperament, the prospects of life and many more
events up to the last breath.
In summing up, what we can see through a horoscope is limited from the time of birth to
time of death. Astrologically, a fetus (of a person/native), lying in its mother's womb for
about 270 days, is not considered as a BORN native. During this period, if any defect has
happened to this fetus, it will not be focused in his natal chart, since the chart is calculated
for the date, time and place of the birth.
The blindness by birth is such an incident occurred during its stay in the womb due to
many medical reasons and as the results of his previous Karma. According to Medical
Astrology, the actual planetary causes of this condition are not generally shown in the natal
map. But in the parental conditions, the Lunar epoch and chart of descent indicate such
type of causes for the deformation. Affliction to the Moon at each Lunar return during
pregnancy, corresponding to the monthly period often shows the causes of congenital
deformations, afflictions, blindness and malformations which exists at the birth.
In such a case, it is not so easy to collect all information of the parental epoch to examine
the behavior of Moon during the time of pregnancy. However, I believe, living with total
blindness, is a karmic effect of the native and hence astrological reasons for such karmic
result should be indicated at least. In one of my researches in KP, I have observed the
planetary pattern and their effects in the birth chart of a native born with a critical physical
disorder, called IMPERFORATE ANUS, an Anorectal Malformation, where baby has no
anal opening and it is totally closed and no outlet for stool. The planetary causes for this
deformation were clearly indicated in his birth chart.
With this experienced practices in KP, since this study is of a baby born with blindness, my
effort is to see the relevant planetary setup for the blindness with the birth chart.

and is connected with Mercury by way of the star. The sub lord of the Lagna is Rahu (Dark

of Mars, lord and sub lord of the 2nd (Maraka) and 9th (Fate) posited in the 10th (Treatments
not effective). Sub of Sun is Saturn (signifying houses 7-9-4, 7-11, 1) as per details given
below. Also, this Saturn is the sub lord of Lagna. The star lord of the 6th is Kethu placed in
the 12th, a sign owned by Saturn, connected with Rahu in the 6th, in conjunction with
Neptune(R) that is connected with Rahu (Dark Planet) and Venus (Vision) in the 8th cusp.
The sub lord of the 6th is Saturn the lord of houses 11 (Recovery), 12 (Moksha/
Hospitalization/Renunciation/ Untreatable/Terminal), in the star of Mercury, lord of houses
4 (End of Life) & 7 (Maraka & Badhaka) in the 7th, aspecting the Lagna cusp. Saturn is in
the sub of Kethu (Planet of mitigation & obstructions) in the 12th (Left Eye). Saturn is

significator of houses 6, 8, 12 & 1 and the native may suffer from a critical illness. Since (a)
the lord and star of the 6th ie Sun & Kethu are connected with Sub Saturn and (2) the
planet of vision Venus is under the rule of Saturn, and (3) the Moon giver of vision, is
connected with Kethu, that is a representative of Saturn, that has become as the sovereign

total blindness. As per KP rule, during the DBAS period of the significators of houses 1, 6,
8, 12 the native may suffer from a critical and incurable disease and with the connection of
Mars and Kethu, indicating surgery.
At the time of birth, the nati
ve was under the Dasa of Kethu (6, 12), Bukthi of Moon (1, 12) and Anthar and Sookshma
of Saturn (12), thereby satisfying KP rules for sickness.
Note: At the time of birth this native had his head of an abnormal size, filled with a liquid and
had undergone a surgical operation to make it normal.
Significations and connections of the planets for Vision

The Sun controls the Right eye and Moon controls the left eye, and Venus gives eyesight.
Mercury governs the nervous system. Let's see how these four planets behave in the natal
chart.
Sun : The Sun+ (R/E) is directly connected with Rahu (Dark Planet), the sub of the Lagna.
Sun is the lord of the 6th (diseases) and deposited in the 7th (Maraka & Badhaka), in the star
of Mars lord of the 2nd (Maraka) and 9th (Fate/Karama) and in the 10th (Paraloka Sadhana/
Treatment not effective/Retirement from this world). It is the sign Sagittarius owned by Lagna
Lord Jupiter located in the 6th (diseases). Sun is in the Sub of Saturn, the lord of houses
11 & 12 placed in the 9th. Although Saturn is the lord of the 11th for recovery, it has no
power to do so since it is in the star of Mercury located in the 7th, Maraka and Badhaka
house, and connected with Venus, a significator of houses 8 & 12. The sub of Saturn is
Kethu in the 12th, in the sign of Aquarius (Sense of sight). It is in the star of Rahu (Dark
Planet) in the 6th (diseases) and in the sub of the above said Venus. This Kethu is in
conjunction with Neptune(R), a significator of houses 6 & 12. Accordingly, the Sun+, being a

connected planet with the Lagna, is severely afflicted by obstructive planets Saturn, Rahu
and Kethu.
Moon : Being the lord of the 5th and Star & Sub lord of the 11th, Moon is deposited in the
Lagna cusp (Head/ Brian/ Mind), aspecting the 8th (Danger to Life/ Critical Illnesses), placed
in its own sub and in the star of Kethu in the 12th connected with the 6th cusp (as
discussed above). As per the "House Grouping" Part I, by Sri Tin win ji, if the sub lord of the
11th is a significator of houses 6 & 12, there is no cure. This rule is confirmed by the 5th
Sub, Sun, and 6th sub, Saturn, with their significations of houses 6 and 12. Henc, Moon in
this chart is not a good indicator for vision.
Also, all the above explanation of Moon can be applied in support of the rules for
"DEFECTS" of the body as given in the Encyclopedia of Medical Astrology as below.
"Imperfection or Defects may occur in any part or organ of the body and may be
congenital from birth or acquired. The Moon in the different signs, if afflicted, tends
to cause organic and structural defects in the part or organ by such sign.
The afflicted Moon is in Aries sign that rules Eyes, and especially the conjunctiva of the
eyes, and defect of the eyes is indicated by the Moon.
Venus : The giver of eye sight, Venus is the lord of houses 3 & 8 deposited in the 8th (Danger
to Life/ Critical Illnesses), in the star and sub of Saturn the lord of houses 11 & 12 placed in
the 9th. In every aspect, this Saturn is a malefic as in the above paragraph under Sun.
Hence the ruler of the vision is a significator of houses 6, 8 & 12.
Mercury : Mercury is the chief ruler of the Optic Nerve. It is the lord of houses 3 & 7
tenanted in the 7th (Maraka & Badhaka) Virgo, its own sign, and in the star of Moon (a
malefic for vision as discussed above), and in the sub of Venus, a significator of houses 6, 8,
12 as in the previous paragraph.
As per Medical Astrology, the ruling sign of the Optic Nerve is Aries. Aswini (Kethu),
Bharani (Venus) and 1st Pada of Krittika (Sun) Naksastra are in the sign of Aries. The 2nd
cusp (Maraka) is situated in Aries sign. Aswini is occupied by Moon, while Bharani is the
star of the 2nd cusp in Aries sign. Mars, lord and sub lord of Aries, is connected with the
above said Venus and the dark planet Rahu. Thus, the sign Aries is also multiple afflicted
by various means resulting in the deformation of the Optic Nerve.
According to Rex E. Bills, in his "The Rulership Book",

1) The causative planets for the blindness are Moon, Saturn and Uranus.
2) Sense of sight is ruled by Mars (Sun, Moon, Aquarius)
As we have already discussed about Moon and Saturn, let's look at Uranus.
(a) " Uranus rules the ether which is the medium by which the light rays are
transmitted, hence he has considerable influence over the eyes and is
responsible, when afflicting the Sun or Moon, for various diseases of the eyes,
or even blindness." - (Message of the Star - pg 564, by Max Heindel)
(b) 1. Uranus rules Eyes
2. The diseases and complaints of Uranus are somewhat similar to the combined
effects of Saturn, Venus & Mercury in the 12 signs. His diseases are usually of
a nervous origin and difficult to understand and often incurable. (Encyclopedia
of Medical Astrology - pg 892, by Dr. H.L.Cornell)
(c) Eyes are under the external rulership of the Aries sign. The eyes are also
ruled by the Sun, Moon, Uranus and Neptune and the Aquarius sign, as Uranus
and Aquarius rule the Ether thru which light is transmitted. (Ibid pg 219)
According to the literature given by various authors and Medical Astrologers, Uranus is also

a major culprit in this disease. In the chart under discussion, Uranus(R) is tenanted in the
Ascendant in the star of Mercury (Optic Nerve) and in the sub of Saturn. Both Mercury and
Sun (Vision) and Lagna and the 7th (Maraka & Badhaka) lord Jupiter are opposite to
Uranus. As discussed above, Saturn is the lord of the 12th, Aquarius sign, which rules the
Ether for transmitting the light. As such, both Uranus and sign Aquarius are deeply
corrupted by their positioning causing blindness for the native.
KP Rule for Eye diseases

The important planets Sun, Moon and Venus happened to be the sign, star or sub
lord of the 8th cusp and their cusps to the 2nd and 12th and their sub lords shall be
the significator of the 12th house, and in any manner connected to that house,
portray the defect or disease to eyes. (Medical Astrology for All by K. Subramaniam,
page 86)
The 8th cusp sub lord is Venus and is the owner of the same. Venus is the star lord of the
2nd cusp and star lord of the Sub lord of the 2nd cusp. It is in the star and sub of Saturn the
lord of the 12th cusp. Thus, the KP rule for this disease is satisfied.
Finally, I wish to again draw the attention of readers to the 3rd paragraph of this article.
Though I don’t have sufficient information to check the transiting information of Moon
during the exact period of pregnancy, I tried to see the transition information of Uranus
during the pregnancy period. In the Zodiac, Uranus transited into Aries sign on the 24th of
June 2016 and from that day it was traveling in the star, sub and sub sub of Kethu
(Obstructive/Mitigated), that is in the sign of Aquarius (sense of sight), representing Saturn
as the sign and its sub lord and was in conjunction with Neptune(R). On this day, the ruler
of the Optic Nerve, Mercury, was transiting over the sub and sub sub of Rahu, while Sun
(R/Eye) and Venus (Vision) were in the star of Rahu. The Moon (L/Eye) was transiting over
the star of Mars that was opposite to Uranus. On the 30th of July, Uranus started its
retrogression in the star and sub of Kethu. When considering the date of birth of this baby,
above transiting period of Uranus in Aries (Head) ie from 24th June 2016 to 30th July 2016,
the period of pregnancy was around its 7th month. As per KP Reader 4, page 220, this is
the period of developing the nervous system of the fetus, under the purview of Mercury,
that was in the star of Mars and sub and sub sub of Rahu at that time. Hence, I firmly
believe that this planetary configuration should be one of the main causes for deformation
of the eye sight of the native.
My conclusion
In addition to the above KP rule, If Uranus is any way connected with Saturn and sign
Aries during the period of gestation or pregnancy there may be total blindness of the
child.
Further studies should be conducted with more charts to make an exact conclusion and the

the strongest significator of the 3 rd house the ear rings will be found. In the cusp chart Budh is in
the 3rd house. When we see the planetary position we come to know that no planet is in the star of

from 05.31 am to 24.06.2012 up to 06.17 am. I told the native that the ear rings are in her house
and she will find them on 23.05.2012.
I received a phone call from the native in the morning on 25.06.2012 that she found the ear rings on

What does the K.P rule say on this—( as per Sri Kanak Bosmia)
If the ascendant (dangerous activity) sub lord signifies houses 1 (dangerous activity), 12
(treason, betrayal or breach of trust), 6 (distressing conditions), one is found guilty of
treason and will be impeached by the highest judiciary of the country during the conjoined
period of the significations of houses 1, 6 and 12.
Chart analysis—
Ascendant Cusp sub lord is Sun+. No planets are placed in Sun’s stars and, hence, Sun
strongly signifies the Ascendant. Sun is in the 9th cusp as 3rd lord.
It is in the star of Saturn who is lord of houses 8 & 9 and is placed in the 6th . And it is in
the sub of Sun placed in the 9th. Thus, Sun as Ascendant Sub lord signifies the 6th at its
star level and the 1st as sub lord. So, I feel he will be impeached/dethroned from the
president's position.

Dasa analysis—the present dasa lord is Mars up to July 2018. Mars is in the R Ps and is in
the list of significators. Mars signifies houses 6 and 12 at its STL and is O.K.

Venus bhukthi runs from-June 2016 to August 2017.
Venus signifies @ STl-houses 6, 12(+) and @ SBL house 8(-) - this is not favorable.
Sun bhukthi runs from August 2017 to Dec 2017.
Sun bhukthi @ STL- house 6(+); @ SBl houses 3, 9(-) - this is not favorable.
Note- Saturn in the chart aspects Moon (which is in Saturn sign Capricorn), by its 3rd aspect
and causes punarphoo dosha. This will surely cause delay in fructification of the event. As
such, I feel that both lords may not be in a position to give the desired result though they
are in the CFS group.

bhava (Film industry). This combination made him unique in the delivery of dialogues.
*Dynamic & Super star:- MARS:- this is a planet that gives no stage fear. It makes him a
good hero and actor. He is the lord of the 5th (Arts & Cinema) & 10th (profession, name and
fame, success in film industry), placed in the 6th (the effort of a person to give good quality
of out put). Mars aspects the 10th , 1st and 2nd houses. Thus, Mars signifies houses 1-2-5-6-
10. So, he became a dynamic hero and a super star in the celluloid industry.
*Popularity in public as a good actor:- the10th cusp is co-ruled by Mars (heroism & action;

the 10th and also signifies the 10th bhava, one becomes a statesman.
In this natal chart, the 5th CSL Sun is in the star of Mercury who is deposited in the 5th.
Moreover, the 5th is a negation of the 6th. Mercury is not a significator for the 10th. So, he
cannot become a Statesman.

Use of ruling planets to ascertain the correct
birth time

I am giving below a few examples where the correct birth time of the native was not known
and the same was arrived at by using the Ruling Planets.
1) Native : Male
DOB : 12.10.1977
Time : Between 21.15 to 22.30
Place : Allahabad
The question was solved by me on 27.01.2014 at 22.45 in Mumbai and the Ruling Planets
at that moment are given below :
Lagna : Kanya Budh : Star : Jyestha Budh
Rasi : Vrischik Mangal (Ketu) ; Day : Monday Chandra
Ketu was in Mesh rasi and so it was included with Mangal as a ruling planet.
The lagna that were rising on 12.10.1977 between 21.15 to 22.30 at Allahabad were
Vrishab and Mithun. Sukra is not a ruling planet, whereas Budh is in the ruling planets.
So, I decided to fix Mithun as the lagna of the native. Now in Mithun lagna, we have stars
of Mangal, Rahu and Guru. Rahu and Guru are not amongst the ruling planets, but
Mangal is a ruling planet. So, I decided that the birth has taken place in Mangal star. I
finalized Ketu – Sub and Budh – sub sub to arrive at the degrees of the 1st house of the
native. (Budh has come twice in the ruling planets, so I have used it as Lagna lord and
also the sub sub lord ).
Now for the chain of Mithun - Mangal - Ketu - Budh I arrived at the degrees of the 1st
house as 2-36-43 and the corresponding time as 21.33.20.
2) Native : Female
DOB : 11.09.1992; Time : Between 20.00 to 20.30; Place : Mumbai
The question was solved by me on 30.01.2014 at 22.15 in Mumbai and the Ruling Planets
at that moment are given below :
Lagna : Kanya Budh; Star : Shravan Chandra
Rasi : Makar Sani ; Day : Thursday Guru
The lagna that was rising on 11.09.1992 between 20.00 to 20.30 hours at Mumbai was
Meena. Guru is in the ruling planets. So, I confirmed that the native was born in Meena
lagna. Now in Meena lagna, we have stars of Guru, Sani and Budh. All the 3 stars are
among the ruling planets. Guru has come in the ruling planets only once, and we have
already used it as the lagna lord. Between Budh and Sani, Budh is stronger being the
Lagna lord at the time of query. So, I decided that the birth has taken place in Budh star.
I finalized Chandra - sub and Sani - sub sub to arrive at the degrees of the 1st house of
the native.
Now for the chain of Meena - Budh - Chandra - Sani I arrived at the degrees of the 1st
house as 22-46-57 and the corresponding time as 20.06.57.

Question 1: Rules for Education

I am going through the book " ASTROLOGY & EDUCATION" by K. Subramanyam, S/o.
KSK.
On page 13, ------------------how can one enter the portals of a college unless one completes
school education.
This clearly indicated that 4 CSL should indicate 4 and 9 for higher education. 4th
signification also is required for higher education
In some articles in KPEZine , it was mentioned that-

9 CSL is connected with 4 or 11,it indicates success in higher education through hard work.
If 9 CSL is connected with 11 only but not connected with 4, it indicates success in higher
education without hard work.
Sir, I am a learner in KP System of astrology.

By the above statements, I am totally confused.
I request for your valuable guidance and opinion on this subject .
Answer 1: General Rules for Education

If the 4th cusp sub lord signifies houses 4,11, the general or lower level education is
promised during joint dasa periods of significators of houses 4,11.
If the 9th cusp sub lord signifies houses 4,9, 11, the higher education is promised during
joint dasa periods of significators of houses 4,9,11.
In horary analysis, the 11th cusp sub lord signification of houses 4,11 or 4,9,11 is to be
cross-checked for lower education and higher education respectively..
The 4th or 9th cusp sub lord’s connection with Mercury, Jupiter is helpful for success in
education.
For success in higher education, the 9th house signification is important but not a must,
similarly the 4th house signification is not a must to gain higher education.
Question 2: Transit Analysis

Thank you for your reply for sensitive point in KPEZine-june-2017, in Q&A section.
I have tried to erect the chart as per the birth details of the native, provided in the answer.
The position of planets is almost tallying . But the houses are not tallying. I do not know the
reason.
For the same birth details, the chart prepared in india and usa are differing. Then
predictions also will differ.
In the dasa period of RA-SA-JU, first the transit of sun is checked for Ra , as rahu is a
strong planet.
The period of ra-sa-ju is 30-11-1969 TO 19-04-1940.

Is it not that ,we check the transit of sun , moon and other dba lords in the above selected
period?.

I request you to kindly educate me in this regard.
Answer 2:
The reason for the positions of planets are almost tallying but the cusps of houses are not
tallying may be using another house system other than Placidus house system. Please make
sure to use the Placidus house system. It cannot be checked by figures because the
calculated chart is not attached as said in the question.
It is true that the calculated charts for a location in India and another location in USA will
be different as latitudes and longitudes are different.
The location of natal chart is the place where the native was born. The location of transit
chart is the place where the native is located at the time of transit analysis.
Generally in transit analysis it is to check whether the DBAS lords and luminaries Sun and
Moon are transiting in the star and sub of DBAS lords or significators of required houses for
the matter under study, for instance houses 2,7,11 for marriage.
Question 3: Sensitive points

Thank you very much for clearing my doubt about sensitive point in KPEZine-June-2017 in
question and answers.
You have selected the DBA - su-ve-me.

We can have 6 combinations and permutations with the above dba lords like,
1. su-ve-me,
2. su-me-ve,
3. ve-su-me,
4. ve-me-su,
5. me-su-ve,
6. me-ve-su.
It has been selected only 1, 3 and 5 as sensitive points.

I request you to kindly clarify how the sequence is selected
as a sensitive points.
I thought it should be vimsottari dasa sequence.
Then, it should be 1,3 and 6 and not 1,3 and 5.
I request you to kindly educate me.

It is to choose the available sensitive point(s) whatever available during the DBA by
sequence of time.
Question 4: Dasa Sequence

What is the criteria to select bhukti lord also as dasa lord?.
Normally, once we select the dasa lord, we follow vimsottari dasa sequence to select the
bhukti and antara lords by checking the eligibility.
Answer 4:
Yes, it is to follow the Vimshottari dasa sequence starting for the current running Bhukti or
Antra.
