 Fortis Healthcare has a vision to set up a network of world class super
specialty hospitals linked with a larger network of multi-specialty
hospitals to provide high quality healthcare to the people of India, through
a hub and spoke model.
 In line with its growth strategy and with the recent acquisition of the
Escorts Heart Institute & Research Centre.
 Fortis Healthcare has taken its total operational hospital strength to 38
hospitals (including 12 satellite/heart command centres).
 The Fortis Healthcare group has progressive plans to change the
healthcare delivery landscape in India by being the premier healthcare
provider in the region driven by quality and most importantly “patient-
centricity’.

Background of the Company:

 Established in November 2005.
 The Fortis Group mainly focuses on healthcare which continues to be a
major concern in our country. Its first unit was established at Mohali.
 These hospitals include multi-specialty hospitals as well as super-
specialty centers providing comprehensive tertiary and quaternary
healthcare to patients across specialties such as cardiac care, orthopedics,
neurosciences, oncology, renal care, gastroenterology, mother and
childcare .
 Fortis has been rapidly growing through a combination of acquisitions,
Greenfields, Brownfield’s and management contracts.
 The company was founded by the visionary business leader, Late Dr.
Parvinder Singh the architect of Ranbaxy Laboratories.
