Navigate to the (4) Standard functions tab by clicking Next >> at the bottom of the window. If the
ECU type is Premium, tick the Diagnostics/Telematic System GIO5 (DIAG) checkbox in the
Standard functions section.
Navigate to the (11) Connector tab. If the ECU type is Premium, select Diagnostics/Telematics (Pin 1
3 4) in the GIO5 drop-down list. If the ECU type is Standard, select Telematics (Pin 5 2 3) in the
Subsystems drop-down list.
Click the Write to ECU button at the bottom of the window to save the changes to the ECU.
Enter your PIN in the pop-up window and click OK. The EBS control unit is now configured.
If the ECU type is Standard, use a Subsystem 8-pin code C blue cable (part.no 449 907 010 0).
Remove the socket protection to gain access to the Subsystems socket. Connect the cable to the EBS
control unit as shown below:
A new Online Configuration and ECU Programming window will appear. Click the Read
Configuration Information From ECU button. It may take a while until the configuration information
is read. The reading progress is displayed in a green bar at the bottom of the window.
A new ECU Set Up window will appear. Click the Setup Aux Configuration data button.
Click the OK button again to return to the Online Configuration and ECU Programming window.
Click the Program ECU With Current Configuration Information button.
Click the OK button in the Geometric Data window, do so again in the next window. A confirmation
pop-up window will appear, click Yes. It may take a while until the configuration information is written.
The writing progress is displayed in a green bar at the bottom of the window. Click the OK button to
return to the main window. Click the Reset ECU button. The EBS control unit is now configured.
Connect the Haldex diagnostic cable to one of the sockets and then connect the FM device to the cable
as follows:
A new window will appear with a warning message and starting recommendations. Click Yes and then
Continue.
ECU data reading will begin, it may take a while. Once the data is read, it will be displayed in the
window and several additional options will appear. Click the Change configuration button at the
bottom of the window.
Click the OK button to close the Configuration Wizard window. Click the Write to ECU button at the
bottom of the window. The EBS control unit is now configured.
Note
The exact pinout can differ depending on the EBS control unit model. You can check the exact pinout
using Knorr-Bremse diagnostic software by clicking the Auxiliary I/O button in the ECU info window.
Locate the EBS control unit underneath the trailer. Locate the diagnostic socket as shown below.
For Knorr-Bremse G2.0 and G2.1 EBS systems, connect the Deutsch 12-way cable (part no. K021345 or
K021346) to the socket and then connect the FM device to the cable as follows:
For Knorr-Bremse G2.2 EBS systems, connect the Deutsch 12-way cable (part no. K027861 or K027862)
to the socket and then connect the FM device to the cable as follows:
